Lee's numbers come from a larger sample size of more play this season.

Why didn't you circle completion percentage? or attempts? touchdowns?
The completion percentage numbers are pretty similar. However, Lee leads.
The attempts are much higher for Lee. He has played much more so one would expect him to have more attempts.
Lee has more passing touchdowns. Jefferson is usually called upon to run for TDs. Lee isn't called upon to run for touchdowns. However, Lee leads in passing touchdowns.
But you miss the point. The post was made in response to the replies to this post:

i am not even sure JL is a better passer.

Why are you starting at Bama 10?

My question is why does a mobile qb like Jefferson take so many sacks? I do think that Jefferson is a better passing qb on passes over 15 yards, but Lee is much better up to that point.

I think we should include 2008. Would that be fair?

Why stop there? Let's go back to high school.

Everyone (including myself) are so consumed with the QB argument that we loose sight as to what we really want...I thought about this for a little while and came up with the fact that I like Lee is because I was really enjoying watching Randle and Beckum make plays, not the QB but the recievers..Up until this year it actually looks like LSU has great players at the wide reciever position. The real question is would Beckum even be known to the LSU fan base had JJ started the whole year...Randle we knew about but I like his catching ability better than his blocking ability..The LSU recievers are the play makers not the QB's so why not give them the best chance possible for sucess...

And don't reference the Western Kentucky game. That was a joke of a defense, and he didn't even start putting up points until the second half)

but letting him run our offense full time is a loss waiting to happen.

Yet you're also comparing last season to this season. That's not the most relevant information to use when deciding who starts when you consider JJ had a godawful start to 2010. Lee took the starting job this season and ran with it. The Bama game is really the only massive blemish for Lee this season. He hasn't been great, but neither has Jefferson.

JJ is a more dangerous qb.
lulz.

defenses can easily game plan for JL, not the same with JJ.
yeah, those 2-12 60 yd passing games with 30 yds rushing against the likes of Vandy have DCs shaking in their boots.

IMO we should only judge each QB on this years stats. What happened in the past needs to be let go. We have new OC and a QB coach.

Again you focus on the past season under different coaching and not taking into account improvement.
Are you intentionally being this obtuse?

JJ is much more difficult for defenses to prepare for
No doubt. Look at our offensive stats last year when he started all the games and the first 8 games of this year. Obviously JJ causes havoc for opposing DC's.

I think that JL and JJ have both shown under new coaches, offensive system, playcalling that they both can get the ball to our playmakers.
I blame Crowton for both QB's not reaching their potential while at LSU.

Apparently it is only acceptable to forget Lee's past and use JJ's to evaluate him. Seems fair

As should any rational LSU fan.

People we are winning! Chill out it doesn't matter who is QB we will out if we just don't get over confident.

It was painfully obvious that the D felt Miles was disrespecting Lee and was boycotting Jefferson's play.
