do not joke about such things as a trader Joe's. that is serious business. I am still waiting on the Panera we were supposed to get anyway.

Not a fan of Trader Joes or at least it doesn't make me jump off the couch and clap.

And the little bird on Cochon was Donald Link on Channel 2 saying he wanted to make Lafayette work then look at Baton Rouge. Apparently you have a mocking bird.

I thought the hold-up in getting a trader Joe's down here was that they needed their distribution center to be a minimum distance away.

Did they expand distribution centers?

Trader Joe's is not meant to be a competitor of Whole Foods, and it's not a "supermarket", per se. At least that's been my experience with it. It is a great place, priced right, to pick up inexpensive wines and what you might call "specialty items". When we lived in L.A. we'd pick up all sorts of random stuff . . . from their different varieties of olives to unusual snacks/hors d'oeurves to just about anything else. Plus some unusual frozen stuff. Never went there for produce or fresh cut meats.

We enjoyed it.
