We have to win out otherwise we are getting screwed. No doubt about it. We may even have to watch the Gumps play for it all if we lose

Arkansas has too many near misses to be in the discussion.

Would love more than anything for us to win out, OSU to win out and Wheedon to win the Heisman, and for them to play our lucky asses in New Orleans.

If we lose to Arky, I think maybe we should drop out. Now, if we lose the SECCG, we should go before Bama.

No. He was saying "LSU wanted that game more than Bama," and used the Reid INT as proof.

LSU has set the bar so high for themselves that if they were to lose to any of their next 3 (potentially) SEC games, they shouldn't be in contention. And I can agree with that. This won't be an issue if LSU wins out. If they do, no one can deny that they are the best team in the nation. But until then, it wouldn't make for good entertainment to hear "LSU is the best team in the nation. Let's make them national champions right now."

And with the 1-loss argument, what looks better in the "computer's mind": an Alabama or Oregon loss to LSU or an LSU loss to either Ole Miss/Arkansas/Georgia?

God I hope that LSU and Okie St just won out so that we can avoid all this BS with who goes where if who loses!

I typically don't get too worked up by the media but that's pretty shitty.

I said this last week...what pisses me off about the critique of the LSU Bama game is that all the naysayers assume that LSU would have done everything exactly the same if Bama had made those FGs. I mean, maybe LSU plays more agressively at the end of the first half if they're down 6 or 9. I know damn sure they play differently at the end of regulation because the game wouldn't have been tied. This isn't rocket science.

That kind of statement is always dumb in a tough game. Yeah, I am sure that LSU wanted it more.

Bottom line, we made plays to win, Alabama didn't. It had nothing to with "who wanted it more" in this case. It is a cliche that sounds good but that is it.

I agree, Bama makes those FGs. We become more aggressive and the hat takes some risks. Like the TE reverse last year.

I agree.

Just refuting the slant and twisting of words. We hate when people in the media do this to people. I don't think we should reciprocate.

I agree. Alabama wanted just as much as we did.
