why would he call his dad if he was a rape victim himself? GTFO with that shite
Is it really that far fetched? If he and Sandusky are the only people who know it happened, that adds some pressure not to go to police, it changes to "horse play" and it's swept under the rug.

so why would he have alerted his dad? If he was raped by him then seeing him raping another boy would be no shock. If his main goal was to keep it all quiet so his own raping doesnt come out why on earth would he call his dad? Pretty weak theory.

You're just making shite up now.

I mean it would be hard for a grad assistant to go to the police and throw out allegations like that without the help of someone higher up...the right thing for him to do at the time was go to Paterno and make sure it got to the higher ups.
While he he deserves some slight criticism I think he actually did what he should have and it was really not his fault. Imagine if you were 24 and walked in on one of our bosses doing that...it would be hard for you to go straight to the police, especially in a town that is obviously corrupt.

I think this is extremely plausible. I could imagine him reliving his own experience after seeing it, and then reaching out to the only person he knew he could trust...his Dad. Answer this...why else would a 28 year old man who witnessed a rape call his dad before doing anything else? I have no idea if McQueary was a victim of Sandusky or not, but I can't believe some of you are so quick to dismiss it when the two families were as close as they're reported to have been.

That would be somewhat understandable if he witnessed some kind of ambiguous inappropriate behavior. But he walked in on a rape in progress, no other way to put it. This is a twentysomething ex CFB player. He could easily have kicked the shite out of this sixty year old man, called 911 and held him there until the police arrived. There would have, COULD have been no coverup under those circumstances. Even JoePa couldn't have swept that under the rug.
That McQueary didn't do this is inexplicable and inexcusable.

Thank you. That's what I'm getting at. He's a sick frick, there's probably a million ways he found the kids, especially ones he was around often.

generally does not work that way.

Im not going to write a legal brief on retaliation laws so dont ask, but I dont put any weight on this theory. What carries more weight to me is the possibility (sucks) that the civil suits will be time barred by a statue of limitations.

You are ignoring the fact that he wasn't disturbed enough to leave Penn State and instead continued to build his career with these same people and with full knowledge of what had gone on.

This theory that Mcqueary was raped too is insane. Just stop guys. Bottom line is that he did report it to JoePa. He was a member of the "Penn State" family and that is the reason he didn't do more. Just like all of them. Protect the school, not the victims. Sad.

McQueary was a highly recruited high school quarterback. It is unfathomable that if Sandusky raped or molested him as a child, he would have then chosen to attend Penn State, where Sandusky was on staff. And then, later chosen to work there.
He would have accepted one of his many other offers and gotten the hell out of that place.
