Heading to BR this weekend for the game...

wifes birthday is Friday. Restaurant recommendations?? Our two oldest sons will be with us so a romantic meal is out of the question

We are staying at the Renaissance Hotel on Bluebonnet.

Cuisine: Her favorite is Italian (but she really doesnt care)

I would like to take her to something uniquely South LA

Boutin's on Bluebonnet has a cajun band nightly but the food leaves something to be desired. Your boys might find it entertaining.

Their menu looks really good.

If their BBQ shrimp is as good as some of the restaurants in NOLA I will be all over dat!! mmmm mmmm mmmmm!!!

Yes. It's an LSU home weekend, so make sure wherever you go, you have a reservation secured.

Went there last time in town. Atmosphere is fun. Like Layabout said, food was only ok. I'd go back with out of towners though.
