I put quotes around this although they're not his exact words... just how I remember them:

"Conferences mean something. This game meant something. In my mind some other team should get a shot at LSU... LSU will have to go to Atlanta and risk it all... Alabama won't have to."

Paul: "What if Oklahoma State and Stanford lose? Does that mean Boise should go?"

Gary: "Yes. The best thing for the SEC would be for LSU to beat Boise 50-3 then that 9-6 game would be as immortalized as the 10-10 Notre Dame Michigan State game as a great game for the ages... otherwise it's only a great game for the SEC.

I would personally like to see somebody else play for the championship. They [Alabama] had their shot."

Can we get to the championship game before we start worrying about who our opponent will be?

We're fans.. What fun is looking forward to Western Kentucky? Let the players worry about game to game.

The Bama fans are reacting now... of course they're not happy with Gary Danielson.

fair enough.

I suspect that Boise would score though.

nifty passing game.

I hope LSU plays Boise. Danielson's 50-3 would be cool. I do not expect it though. Just a solid 30-20 victory.

Said it before in the thread a few weeks ago, I hate rematches especially for a MNC. The original winner has everything to lose and the original loser is being tossed a bone. Emotionally it is very difficult for the original victor to maintain the original level of intensity from game 1 to game 2, it is human nature to subliminally let down, and Bama would be even more jacked for payback.

With that said who remembers UGA playing undefeated Hawaii in one of the worst Sugar Bowls ever. BSU is a lot better than that UH team.

Boise vs. LSU would look a lot like WVU vs. LSU.

Yeah, they'd score a bit, but the game really wouldn't be close.

Coompletely different scenario. We wouldn't have lost at home in OT. People would want to see what we could do on a neutral field.

Can't win it at home, don't get another chance.
