Which last two teams would you like to see the SEC add?

I think most would agree the most geographic are Clemson/FSU, the most desired financially are UNC/VTech

Les Miles already said in his press conference yesterday the Packers and the Vikings will be accepted and moved to the east so one team will have to come to the west

Hope it stops at 14.....
but....VT and UNC. 2 new states, 2 great programs.
FSU And Clemson are both in there too.

I'd kill for Virginia Tech.
They may not admit to it, but I think they are the school "most like" A&M and it'd be awesome to have them as a rival.

Ideally:
Florida State (potentially great football, great baseball, great track & field, shitty basketball --- in other words, they fit right in)
Virginia Tech (good to very good football, don't know shite about their other programs --- but they would be a great add because of their state and the TV sets it would bring)
Other options:
I really don't think there are any good ones out there without having to raid the ACC or Big 12...
but I would be ok with any combination of these schools:
Oklahoma
Oklahoma State
Georgia Tech
NC State
Clemson
That's probably about it though. And I doubt any of the schools I listed would even be interested

Here is the deal! Slive renegotiates TV contracts getting ridiculous money for all the teams that well then make the SEC even more attractive to potential heavy hitters like FSU, Clemson, etc.

I don't think the SEC is going to 16...I think 14 might be the magic number.

SEC will stay at 14 until the Big 12 falls apart and texas takes tech, ou, and osu to the pac. Then its about adding markets. I think VT and NC State are the best realistic options. With as crazy as this thing has been I wouldn't rule out Kansas and Kansas State.
Pod 1
Kansas
K State
Arky
Mizzou
Pod 2
LSU
A&M
State
Ole Miss
Pod 3
Alabama
Auburn
Tennesee
Vanderbilt
Pod 4
Florida
Georgia
South Carolina
Kentucky
3 pod opponents, 1 perm non pod opponent, 3 rotating non pod opponents.

If the SEC goes to 16, I would like to see us take two teams from the east (and then shuffle Missouri over to the West). The two teams would be a combo of good programs, cultural fits, geographic expansion and academic prestige. All of the targets I think would be worthwhile are from the ACC. I'd like two of these teams, in roughly descending order.
FSU: Great program, great cultural fit, not a new state, but a strong following in a very populous state, mediocre academics.
Virginia Tech: very good program, good cultural fit, new state (only problem would be it may result in some geographic isolation if an NC school is not the other team), decent academics.
UNC: mediocre football program (very good in other sports), okay cultural fit, adds a very strategic state, excellent academics.
Clemson: good football program, great cultural fit, doesn't help much with geography, but has a decent following, decent academics.
NC State: sub-par athletics, but decent cultural fit and adds a present in a very strategic state, mediocre academics.

The problem is VT keeps insisting that they dont want to go to the SEC and NCSU shares a board of Curators with UNC and they wouldnt let State get away.
However, once we have an SEC Network up and running that will start to change things. If they can come in and be apart of that we have a good chance of at least getting VT. With the addition of Missouri and TAMU the academic knock is lessened even further. Being ACC schools they will care about academics but in the end this can work well for the conference.

16 won't happen unless the ACC melts down. I don't see that happening short of a raid by the Big 10, taking, for example, Maryland and Virginia--two very logical and appealing additions for an upper midwest conference looking to expand beyond the rust belt. Absent that, you simply aren't going to get 2 quality ACC teams, which is what it would take.
If the above scenario happened, it would be tough to decide who to offer. North Carolina would be the biggest prize, but brining a partner along might be an issue. For that reason, I like Virginia Tech and FSU.

Don't go crazy , just think about it, what do ya'll think about East carolina, they avg 45000 now, and get you into carolina , without all the complaing that comes with tobacco rd. could be a huge upside, then team them with say VT, aren't they like 2-2 over the last few years, and if VT doesn't bite then add So fl, louisville, or cincy..
I agree that FSU Clemson VT are the best fit, but why would they want to??, not the fans the administration.

Clemson & FSU, even out the division and get Mizzou the crap outta the East.

quote:
Virginia Tech: very good program, good cultural fit,
they have never won anything other than a BCS game vs Cincy as for cultural fit the huge chuck of their fan base from the dc area is far from southern
FSU and Clemson are the ideal grabs
quote:
Virginia: decent cultural fit
is a way better fit than VT, UVA frats hard and the campus looks extremely southern like
