Im not sure if Bama has offered him. I know Auburn has but I dont think Bama has.

I think Richie is down to State, LSU, Ole Miss, and Southern Miss.

And a few others....

LSU would accept Brown's commitment at any time, he said Chavis told him he has a spot until NSD. Chavis fell in love with him at camp.

Liggins, will sign with LSU, as long as his grades are okay. That's the only thing holding LSU back from offering.

Alford wants LSU, but he will be a numbers game. If we miss on some guys, then I think he gets an offer as an athlete.

Richie Brown is a beast. Got to get him. His speed and reflexes are SEC quality and I honestly think he would get some playing time his true freshman year

Why won't he commit already? He came out earlier in the season that we are his clear-cut favorite, and it seems like either our coaching staff is slow playing him or he is slow playing us? And with Nutt leaving Ole Piss does it eliminate them from the picture?
USM-really why would you go to C-USA?
Ole Piss-Nutt is out nuff said
Miss State-seems like a reasonable choice but not a championship contender like LSU.

this post got me thinking Bundy:

do you hate bama more than LSU or vice versa?

and replace "hate" with another word if you like. but I am trying to see whom MSU (and OM) fans want to beat more...LSU or Bama.......heck throw Auburn in there too.

Scale of 1-10 in hate

LSU....
BAMA...
AU.....

We know Ole Miss is first

Brown has never said LSU was his clear cut favorite, probably just some guys who thought that.

He really likes Ms St.

Brown is overrated Liggins and Ward are the only real prospects with a chance to help LSU on the field. Ward could be a STUD!

How can you really say this guy is overrated? He performs on the field every week and does not play in a small division. The kid plays 5A and plays on both sides of the ball

MS football is pretty weak, even at 5A

Please explain why you think Brown is overrated???

He has averaged 16 tackles per game and about 2tds per game. He plays in 5A football vs Picayune, Pascagoula, Moss Point, Biloxi etc.

This guy is thin for an elite LB prospect and displays plays tight hips even at this light weight. This guys can be seen repeatedly taking false steps and only appearing to dominate against this weak so call MS 5A talent. When this guy put on weight (which he will have to do to even see the field bc he listed at generous 210 with those puny legs) this guy will slow and lead-footed. Sounds like great upside to me!

Might be true overall, but Mississippi always pumps out a shite ton of NFL talent for how small the state is compared to the big 3. A lot of good players come out of MS

Yet some people are crazy about Quay Evans and Channing Ward who play 3A ball in Mississippi.

FWIW Mississippi teams beat Evangel and West Monroe this year.

I have to say that I have never fully understood the Brown lovefest either. He seems light and slow when I see him. He has great instincts which help disguise his lack of athleticism and he is strong in technique and fundamentals. He is a great tackler. However, I fail to see the upside; I think he is as good as he is going to be right now. I don't think he has the size nor the speed to be a significant factor in the SEC, IMO. Comparable to Houston Bates, though I think Bates looked slightly better.

Where did the info that Chavis told Brown he had a solid committable offer through NSD come from?

Yes it is. 18 tacks, 2 TDs on night.

For the others.
