Tuna Charters

Do any of you guys know of a charter service that will accommodate 10 people for an over night tuna fishing trip??? It doesn't matter where we go out of... Thanks

You are more than likely going to have to take two boats. Most Charter captains can legally only take six fisherman, unless you go on one of those big arse Charlie Hardison type trips.

Frat, everyone knows that Bama and Florida don't have shite on LA's tuna. I was researching this a little while ago and 2 boats is probably the way to go. Plus, everyone will probably have a better chance to catch a fish on two boats. It sucks to break up the group sometimes, but I think its necessary.

this guy, Eddie, is awesome. i've used about 5 captains and Eddie has put more tuna in the boat then anyone down there. i'll probably be with him on saturday.

Tommy pellegrin is a good tuna captain as well. He runs out of cocodrie and his gravois is badass.

We are looking to go out of Venice,LA. We had a trip booked but one of the diesel engines went out on the boat we were gonna charter. Doesn't look like we are going to go unless we take 2 boats... Thanks for your recommendations and let me know if you hear of anyone that would be able to accommodate 10 people.

I just asked Capt. Eddie, and he said he doesn't know anyone that could accommodate that many people. The boat The Cougar can take that many out, but they don't go out far enough for tuna for the most part. They normally target snapper.

I heard the cougar only bottom fishes and really doesn't reel in to many tuna. He said it would be a waste of gas because the fish are unpredictable right now...

Call Lance as stated above and have him call Ryan at Reel addiction charters (google him) to run the second boat. Both are good friends of mine and will put you on fish.

Agreed about Ryan at reel addictions

Captain Brett Ryan with Venice Offshore Charters seems to be the man we are going with. We are going to run two boats on a day trip. Should be fun! I will post pictures of our catch when we return!

Never heard of him. Here's hoping for good weather and lots of fish.
