re: How long does it take to get your crawfish pot to boil?
Posted by tigerwolfe on 5/10/15 at 5:50 am to AlxTgr
Blue bug boiler only requires 8 gallons of water to boil 1 sac of bugs. It only takes 8 min to bring water to a boil. The real question is how long does it take to get water to a boil when you put the bugs in the water. To me this is the most critical time the faster you can get them to a boil and start cooling them down the better the crawfish taste and peel. This process only takes 2 min in the blue bug boiler where the standard pot takes considerabley longer.

Skied Taos and angle fire a ton. Taos is incredible when the snow is good they also have the best ski school in the country. If you are taking kids I highly suggest putting them in ski school at Taos. Even as an adult take a day or two of lessons their you will not regret it. The one downfall to both places is zero nightlife. Hope this helps.

Deer club rules
Posted by tigerwolfe on 5/10/14 at 9:56 pm
Just acquired a new deer lease looking to see what everyone says are rules that must be put in place to have a successful club. Lease is 1000 acres with 8 members. Thanks in advance for your input.

Both an iPhone and iPad have internal gps built in them you do not have to have cell service for them to work. I have the isailor app and it is free and I added for $4.99 the map of the Gulf of Mexico and works awesome. I have used it 100miles off shore with no problems. I did use it the other day trout fishing in shell beach and was not impressed with the way it worked in the marsh several areas we went showed that we were on land not in the water. Navionics has an app that is $49.99 the next time I go fishing in the marsh I am going to purchase it and see how it works. Has anyone bought this app and used it?

Fighting my bow
Posted by tigerwolfe on 9/16/12 at 3:58 pm
I am having a hard time after I draw my bow back raising the pin to the target. I have tried drawing back high and dropping down to the target, but this does not work either it seams like my comfort spot is 10-12 inches below the target when i am holding the arrow back. I am open to any suggestions it is like this when I am on flat ground and up in the tree I have a stand set up that I practice from. It is also this way if it is the first or the last arrow that I shoot out of 30 shots.
Thanks
Thanks
re: F-150 Ecoboost: Anyone own one? Pros cons?

How can you be loyal to a brand that can't support itself and is now owned primarily by the government. How anyone would buy anything, but Ford is beyond me. I have and Ecoboost and it is and awesome truck right off of the lot. After adding a leveling kit 35" tires and a SCT programmer it is a total beast. It is scary how fast it is and the gas millage is incredible for a 4x4 truck with that size tire. 15 mpg in the city and 20 on the interstate going 75 to 80 pretty hard to beat. Besides that it is such a better looking truck than a gm or dodge why would you choose anything else!

Hands down Honda and I own a Polaris Ranger. I would have bought the new Big Red, but Honda is way behind on technology when it comes to the side by sides.

re: Taking my son on his 1st duck hunt tomorrow
Posted by tigerwolfe on 1/25/12 at 3:22 pm to LSUballs
I started when I was 6. I had a 20 gauge pump that would kick the crap out of me. They would let me stand on a 5 gallon bucket so I could see out of the blind. Almost Every time I would shoot it would nock me off the bucket. I would pump it as I was getting back up on top of the bucket and shoot again. Probably not the safest hunting in the world, but it worked and I loved every minute of it. First duck I ever killed was a banded mallard I still have the mount it is 28 years old. I have been hooked on duck hunting ever since.

I have 2 Leupold 3.5x10 50mm that are 20 years old now and both still work perfect. I shoot my guns every year at the beginning of the season and haven't had to reset the sights on either in over 5 years. Great scope for the money!
Henderson Area Ducks Where Are They?
Posted by tigerwolfe on 12/12/11 at 11:34 am
Frist split murdered the ducks limited out everyday 6-8 hunters. Opening day second split 3 hunters got our limit. 2nd day 8 hunters got our limit, but it took till noon to do it. Today 2 hunters no birds killed at all. We did miss a few shots, but very little activity after 7:15am almost nothing flew maybe 15 ducks from that time till 9:am. Also saw very few ducks in our fields that had normally held thousands of ducks.

I think spoonies are fine in the rice fields. I would not shoot the in the marsh.
