these guys quietly really control their own destiny for the rest of the season if they win out

Tyler Wilson is going to throw it all over the yard to Adams, Childs, Hamilton, and Wright. They haven't really stopped anybody consistently though.

Arky has seemed to have our number too

Not really sure about this statement. They have a chance, but with how everything is set up with the BCS, I don't think they control their own destiny.

However..if they win out...they hand the west to alabama based on the tie break!

quote:

8. The tied team with the highest ranking in the Bowl Championship Series Standings following the last weekend of regular-season games shall be the divisional representative in the SEC Championship Game, unless the second of the tied teams is ranked within five-or-fewer places of the highest ranked tied team. In this case, the head-to-head results of the top two ranked tied teams shall determine the representative in the SEC Championship Game.

This little bit hands it back to Alabama EVEN if Arky beats us and leapfrogs Bama and us in the BCS standings. I thought that Arky controlled their own destiny too...but they don't. They can't win the west if we beat Ole Piss and Bama takes care of their business the rest of the way out too.

I see the Vols playing them tight and could be an upset. If the vols D can muster up enough D for 4 qtrs, could be interesting.

I've had this feeling all year. We beat Bama, and then... Arky always has our number, ranked or not. They are #8 this year and have a better quarterback than last year (IMHO). Yes I'm concerned. At least we have them at home.

We have to show up prepared and ready for a fight. Arkansas always gives us their best game and they are 7-1 right now, we have showed up flat for this game since 2007.

he'll try, but I'm not conceding that he will. nor are Chavis and the defense.

meh....everyone has been beating up on Wilson with a much slower defense and their o-line is one of the worst in the conference

Petrino has Miles number and is a better tactician than Miles, while Miles "feels the game". We'll see which one comes out the victor this time. It's not a given that we will win.

One game at a time. The team needs to worry about WKU first and avoid a potential trap game at home.

Arkansas controls nothing. If they beat LSU, they are not going ahead of Bama. Bama is #3 right now in BCS and will be at least #2 if LSU loses. So you think Arkansas would move from #8 to #1 with that win and leap frog a Bama team that destroyed them. Come on. That will never happen.

Don't misunderstand my reply. Anything can happen in college football and I wouldn't be surprised if Arkansas wins. However, this LSU team is the most prepared, most talented, and most focused on the task at hand I have ever seen in my almost forty years. I think Coach Miles will have his team ready to play because Rkansas is in their way. The Cheif is going to come up with a defensive plan that completely stalls the Hogs offense, and the Tigers begin to put this one away early in the second half. I see a 45-17 or 45-20 score.

This is my son's first big SEC game in Tiger Stadium! He has been to several lesser games but not an SEC game. I am pumped for him to be at this game!!!
