Would Boise St. go to the NC over Bama?

What would happen in this scenario? OK St and Stanford both go down. LSU, Bama and Boise St all run the table. The voters may then decide to finally put Boise St. in the title game, so they are #2 in both human polls.
But what if Bama's computer polls put them over the top? So final BCS is 1)LSU, 2)Bama, 3)Boise.
Would the media go nuts? Then what if Bama won the title game? Split title again?
I know, lot of what ifs and too long. Just another way to blow up the BCS again.

I don't see any way Boise jumps Bama unless the Tide drop another game.

the voters will likely just put bama at 5 (or worse) to ensure they don't get in

In that senerio Oklahoma would go to the National cahmpionship game

At an all-SEC matchup? Probably. They're already jealous at the SEC's current dominance.

Split title again?
If Boise State won, it would depend on how well they played.

A one loss OU team goes over an undefeated Boise and one loss Bama team.

THIS!!!!!!!!!

why do you think OU would go?
also, the scenario I am talking about has the polls like this:
Human polls:
1. LSU
2. Boise
3. Bama
BCS:
1. LSU
2. Bama
3. Boise
SFP- I can see what you are saying could happen- they all of a sudden drop Bama that last week to make sure this doesn't happen

I think voters will jump Boise to #2 if Okie and Stanford lose. And it's probably the right thing to do.

No chance

Where are you getting this? Not saying it isn't true, just never heard of it.

This can't be right.

Agreed. Boise State's problem, besides their schedule, is that this team simply isn't as good as last year's team which means they aren't getting as much love from the human polls. Last year, they were passing the eyeball test, this year they aren't despite their perfect record. Even folks, like Pat Forde and Rod Gilmore who were on the bandwagon last year have abandoned it this year. In order to play on January 9, they would need Alabama, Oklahoma and probably Oregon to all lose twice and Oklahoma State and Stanford to lose once.

totally agree.
like i said in the other thread, hebrstreit and fowler will be on the air every day preaching this exact scenario. i would never underestimate their influence on the minds of the voters.

Not at all true, it's just that since 2004 the polls have more weight.
I think if the voters want Boise they'll have to rank the top 5 as:
1 LSU
2 Boise
3 Oregon
4 Bama
5 OU

Huh? There's no such rule.
