I think we will go to 9 games in 2014... Lets folks plan for the years with 5 SEC road games...
You could play a neutral site game in and always have 4 road games (UGA-UF, TAMU-Arkie, UT-Vandy)

i see what you did, but without doing the math, it would still seem that would be long periods between playing certain teams, unless you split up the home and home matchups.
If you have a 16 team conference with 4 team divisions you can have one fixed out of division opponent and three within division opponents on your schedule every year.
You then rotate four teams for two year home/aways among the remaining 11 teams in the conference. That works out to playing everyone at least two times in every 6 year period.
That is highly similar to what we presently do in a 12 team conference (rotating 2 games among 5 opposite division opponents instead of 4 games among 11 out of division opponents)
The big question to be answered is if the NCAA would sign off on letting 16 team conferences have a two round playoff to determine the conference championship. If they will not then the whole idea sort of crumbles.

If the SEC goes to a 9 game schedule, they're going to want to get more money out of CBS and ESPN because they will be replacing crappy non-conference games with more attractive conference games. So, I suspect that they will want to publicly take the position that they are playing 8 until they work a deal with the TV folks to go to 9.

Not a bad thought until you start to try & figure what the "neutral" site venues are which are in decent condition & adequate seating capacity:
The Superdome for LSU?
The Georgiadome for UGA?
Titans Stadium for UThug?
Legion Field for Bammer?
Reliant Stadium for aTm?
Arrowhead Stadium for Mizzou?
Having a non-bowl college game in these venues each year would be interesting.
