He went into Alabama, went 6-6 his first year and pulled in the number 1 recruiting class. They've been competing for national championships every year since then and they have won one. They missed three field goals in regulation that easily could have been made and won the game for them. LSU got the better of a lot of swing plays in that game. Saban is far from a joke and in my opinion still the best coach in football. I'm not saying he can't be out coached because I think Les did it last year. I think this year both coaches coached about evenly and LSU just has the better team. But you need to give the man his respect. LSU is not where they are now without him.
