Boise St. to BE?

Kustra told trustees he has had ongoing discussions with Big East representatives, though the school has yet to receive a formal invitation to join the conference.

I love how Boise keeps skirting around anything resembling a decent football conference.

Yeah, because we all know that the PAC-12 and Big-12 have been begging them to join for years.

I'm pretty sure Boise has literally accepted every conference invitation they have ever received and have never rebuffed any advances by a conference (except maybe the WAC begging them to come back once TCU announced they were heading to the Big East and BYU announced they were morons as well as that they would be going independent in football). They went from WAC to MWC and now likely to the Big East, and they're sacrificing having all their sports in one conference in order to go to a stronger football conference. What else do you want them to do?

I hope they get in it and BE loses its AQ status.

It must suck knowing that Boise State has more BCS appearances than your Hogs.

Are you a Boise fan or an LSU fan? Not that it matters, but I've never seen you in any thread except ones relating to Boise.

I'm at the fact the Mt. West switched the TCU/Boise game from Texas to Idaho, because TCU was leaving for the Big East.

Aren't you able to see that info for yourself? There's no reason to toot LSU's horn on Tiger Droppings. I do that on other (non-LSU) boards. By the way, last year folks thought I was a TCU fan. You're the first to mistake me for a Boise State fan.

I'm not.

Ironically, the MWC screwing TCU on the schedule may end up having screwed Boise because of their lack of a strong opponent. If TCU had one or zero losses right now, the bump from winning against TCU on the road would have helped their chances of getting into the BCS-NCG of they're undefeated. Coach Patterson requested his bye to come after the Baylor opener in order to prepare for Air Force's misdirection offense, and given how close the Baylor game was the distraction of having to prepare for AFA may have made a difference in the outcome. We still may have crapped the bed against SMU, but maybe we wouldn't have if winning the game would have meant staying undefeated. Either way, I would think a bye week somewhere in there instead of 5 straight weeks of games leading up to SMU may have made a difference in a 3 pt overtime loss. With one loss, right now TCU would be in the high teens in the polls (currently 26/27), and a road win against a ranked team that finished the season with two losses would've been quite a resume builder for Boise.

Watch out for Boise as a dark horse candidate for team #14 in the SEC if Mizzou falls through

I really believe that is the dumbest thing ever posted on this board.

Well we can't win the Rose Bowl every year.

What is irrelevant is your opinion that TCU isn't good this year. If we had zero or one loss and Boise played us in Fort Worth and beat us, it would be a road win against a ranked team.

Nice attempt at being a douche though. You're game is off... Maybe you're getting too old to live on a message board.

Its time to hit the power button that computer, dude.

Boise: 6% graduation rate. Whopping $61 million endowment. Do they has research? Rated something like #551 in the country by US News. NCAA probation in multiple sports. Do they play anything but football?

Boise St. should barely even be considered a college.
