I know they have some big guys on both sides of the line but how is their team speed overall? Are we faster as a team?

From what I've seen, I think that we are MUCH faster overall.

We are much faster. They don't have near the speed they had in 2009. Their 2009 team was probably their 2nd best team or their best team in the history of the program.

I think we have the edge there but both these teams have the best athletes in the country its going to come done to execution and protecting the ball

its splitting hairs with these teams

The guys on D are really fast for their size. LSU's guys on D are just plain FAST for anyone.

bama guys never let anyone in space so it is hard to see. They swarm to the ball well.

Their defense is just as good, but not their offense and special teams.

There will be plays that Alabama's size helps them, fighting off blocks and that kinda thing. LSU will probably win some battles on the line with speed, someone blowing past Fluker on a pass rush would be a good example.

They seem to be pretty fast, but I just think this LSU team may be one of the fastest college football teams ever.

I like to think of this lsu team as a hybrid between Florida athletes and bama athletes. Extremely versittle and why we are so dominating

Yea Florida has definitely had alot of speedy guys go through there. It's kinda hard to really compare among years, that's why I say "one of the fastest". We just seem to have incredible speed at nearly every position on the field

Exactly. Alabama's size will surely help protect against the run. LSU's speed and playmakers will cause problems for Alabama just the same. It'l be so interesting to see how the coaches use their teams' advantages during the game.

2009 was very good. This team may be the best Bama team of my lifetime.

As far as speed, it depends on where you're talking about. Our front 7 on defense probably isn't as fast as LSU's, but they're not slow either. It's a different kind of front.

Our skill players are as fast as anybody's.
