Is Miles and Saban the new Bo and Woody matchup?

Schembechler and Hayes from what I understand was about as good as a head to head coaching matchup as you would find back in the day and it seems their clones are matched up against each other now. I think the legends live on. Your thoughts?

I bet Saban submits to his inner Woody Hayes and punches a player before Les does.

He already slapped AJ on the arse

I've been thinking this for a while. I can see a Ten-Year War situation with a lot more mutual respect and less hate.

They even have the colors! Red= Ohio- Purple and gold= dark blue and maize if you look at it correctly.
Well if Les wins this one it i would say yes BUT I want a decade of dominance under les!

I think this is an excellent comparison. In the 90's it was the annual Spurrier/Bowden matchup. I can't think of 2 other programs with entrenched coaches whose game is as anticipated as LSU/Alabama is year in and year out. Stoops and Mac are probably a distant second.
This will become the biggest coaching matchup ever surpassing Woody/Bo if Saban stays around.

and its much more about the game than it was back in 2007.

That's putting it mildly. I could see Saban losing it and crossing the line. I don't know if he'd ever punch a player like Woody but it wouldn't surprise me if he did. Maybe another coach like the two nfl coaches who recently almost got into a fight after the game, Schwartz and Harbaugh. I think Les could take Saban if it ever came to that

Didn't saban make a pro player cry when he was in Miami?

I remembering hearing about that a few year back. Saban does have little man syndrome and seems like he's a few steps away from actually punching his players (given the situation). Nevertheless, I agree that Miles/Saban is becoming the new Bo/Woody matchup

I think that's a very good comparison. Never thought of that comparison before.
