Just curious, if we were to lose to Bama?

If we lose to Bama and then Bama were to lose at Auburn, then what? Taking into consideration that Bama and LSU win the rest of their games, and each has 1 loss.

Bama wins the division because they have the tie breaker.

I think bama would hold the tie breaker, same record but they would have the head to head win against us IF that were to happen.

What are the tiebreakers? I know there's a whole list of them, but I don't know what they are...

I don't think it's going to happen either, but we're getting down to the wire. So just curious. Bama wins the division....therefore Bama goes to the Title Game?

That's a scary assumption. If you look at the pigs schedule they are on a roll.

if it's a 2 way tie the head to head matchup winner goes to SECG

ie LSU and Ole Miss 03

if its a 3 way tie, the team ranked higher in the BCS standings goes to the SECG

aint gonna happen... but the tie breaker would be that they beat us.. both would have 1 loss, but if they beat us, that would be the tie breaker

Based on the tie-breakers and what the BCS rankings would be I think bama would go to ATL.

in this scenario, if all teams just have the 1 loss, then it comes down to BCS rankings as last tie breaker. Since our loss would be the most recent, then we would probably be out. If Arkansas's win over LSU is great enough to leapfrog Bama in the BCS, they would go. That would be crazy after the season of LSU/Bama hype.

There's more to it than that, BUT, that is what it would come down to. There are a string of tie-breakers, but all of them would be a wash if Arkansas, LSU and Bama all had only one loss to each other. IT would probably be Arkansas in the SECCG, depending on how badly LSU beat Bama becaue:

Alabama would have dropped in the polls with the loss to LSU. How far they drop is the key.

Arkansas will probably be #6 in the polls this week. If Bama loses to LSU nov 5th, Arkansas could pass them.

Even if they don't pass them, the argument would be that they beat the #1 team on the road and, unlike LSU and Bama, their only loss was also on the road.
