Is this the one you're talking about?

quote:

Calloway, 18, was a passenger in a vehicle that police stopped in the 900 block of Paul Bryant Dr. Officers smelled an odor of marijuana as they approached the car and found a bag of marijuana while searching Calloway, according to Tuscaloosa Police spokesman Sgt. Brent Blankley.

you get stoned and get behind the wheel you need serious punishment

Freshman University of Alabama running back Brent Calloway was charged with marijuana possession early Friday morning after police saw him driving near Bryant-Denny Stadium without headlights.

Officers noticed a strong marijuana smell when they stopped Calloway, 18, in the 900 block of Bryant Drive at 12:45 a.m., said Tuscaloosa Police spokesman Sgt. Brent Blankley. The officers found a small bag containing marijuana "on his person," Blankley said.

The Tuscaloosa News, a local newspaper, says the police saw him driving. No mention of other passengers or that he was a passenger. It also states they found a small bag of marijuana on him.

IMO
Tuscaloosa news = real story
Al.com = sanitized version

Hate to sound like a homer, but this is a worse offense than LSU's because the kid was actually arrested. The actions aren't any worse, just the situation.

I wonder if Saban suspends him for TWO games just to show that he's twice as tough on this stuff as Miles. Probably not.

Apparently, he hasn't played yet this year, but he has not been removed from the team and like Miles, it is being handled internally.
