Yeah, I know the important aspect of defense needs to slow Trent R, no turnovers, yada yada yada, but I think JJ will be the primary factor for LSU to be victorious.
We all know Bama will stack the box and force whoever's at QB to beat them with the pass. Neither team's running game will very effective. So that leads me to think who will be more effective against that Bama defense, JJ or JL.
I think Les is setting up Bama brilliantly. He's basically using JJ to run the read option damn near every snap he's in the game. He hasn't called very many passing plays for JJ. However, for the Bama game I expect Miles to allow JJ to pass the ball quite often based on Bama ability to stuff the run. This will be the game where Miles will let JJ play freely and utilize his ability to run and throw to keep the Bama defense off balanace.
I don't know why, but I just have this feeling that the Bama game will be JJ's game and Miles will give him the some point in the first half of this game.

fail.
JL is obviously the better passer, yet you think we should pass with JJ?

I think the team will the the key to us nearing bama... Minimal mistakes will the the key.

Might be right....hopefully Miles finds the right combination or keeps one in the whole game. Whatever it takes for a VICTORY!

He will be a big part of it.

I said that b/c JL is not mobile. A mobile QB who's a decent passing QB is more valuable against Bama.

what examples this year do you have that prove this to be true, or are you just making things up again?

JJ has played well against Bama in the past. There will certainly be a good rotation of the two.

I don't think LSU's offense is the key to beating Bama.

And before any "yeah, buts," JJ's keeper read option run will fail miserably against Bama.
You could not be more wrong. You could try, but you would not be successful.

Not a chance
he may not be "the" key, but JJ will bring a whole lot more to the table than you think. A guy who can get to the outside of the defense and hopefully catch them sleeping with a big pass play should be big for us.

JJ is a mixture of Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, and Vince Young. He's going to destroy Bama.

Keep thinking, but it will not be the case.

I think LSU has to pick its spots for JJ to pass. The big problem with JJ throwing is he needs to wait for a WR to get wide open before he throws it. That isn't likely to happen without some kind of deception v. Bama.
I honestly don't care if he throws it every time or none at all - as long as LSU wins.

quote:Operative word: "Victorious" applied to LSU at the end of the game. But to say it's JJ is to suggest he is an unknown quantity to Saban. I believe he's met JJ before. He'd love to face JJ again. I am sure if our QBs are the key to victory, it will take a heavy dose of JL and a smaller but well-executed portion of JJ to make things right. However, it will be a team win or a team loss, IMO. What the team does is what will truly be the key to this game.
I think JJ will be the primary factor for LSU to be victorious.
