Anyone that will call the Central players "little tits" is really out of line and very rude.

One Central player is a tit...you're kid. Because you made him that way! You are a tit too, on here whining about playing time and making up crap. I know a lot of folks in Central, whose kids have played there and play there now...watch who you mess with March 10, 1965. I respect high school playes...it takes a lot of work, toughness and emotional/physical investment. You never played, and apparently neither does your tit kid.

I like Central Private too, but they play MS private school 2A ball, where kids can play who could not see the field at 5A Central. There are reasons why the recent twins to come through Central transferred from Central Private to Central, but I respect both schools.

quote:

You don't want to support the players and only demean them and their parents then don't comment. Now who is the idiot.

You are an idiot and I demean no one. You are a disgruntled parent, who knows nothing about the program except the whining you get from your kid because he isn't as good as the other boys. Tell him he can be tough for trying to to stick with it. Help him grow from tit to man. Jesus christ dude! Now move on to other topics.

By the way, I had a 30 min chat with Sid last week and he is the frst to talk about how much Coach D has done during the past several years at Central...they will stomp...stomp Walker and be just fine. Good luck to your kid!!

Were you on the 2008 and/or 2009 teams? Both good years with a lot of playoff excitement. I will never forget that 2008 playoff field goal block and TD return...Johns & Veals. Johns coming in at receiver. Cutno filling in. Dunn & Giglio. Then the 2009 receiving corps...wow! I think about 8 kids signed of the 2009 team.

I was on both.

I remember the miracle in meterie (awesome gameplan by dotson that night btw) as the coldest Ive ever been.

The only time I was warm was when I ran with the whole sideline down with Veals still get chills and its on youtube so I view it often

Through my three years we had some frickin late game magic (Miracle in Meterie, Late game INT vs acadiana, St paul in 09 even tho we didnt win we still got a 70 yard TD with our QB with a ACL tear and without a bogus celebration penatly we win that one, and then Hail mary vs Ouashita, and then the Blocked kick to send it into overtime against Zachary last year)

I still say if Briscoe didnt tear his ACL in 08 that I would have a State Championship ring on my finger. He could barely walk but he torn through their defense on the first drive and we only lost by 7 even though we lost our QB and our WR who went to QB

ETA Miracle in Metarie

Awesome. Yeah Cutno had been a QB his Soph year at Glen Oaks and filled-in. He is at SELA. Will missed much time in 2007 too with the knee issue and now it is messing him up too. In 2009, a high % of passes were TD's with Will, Davis, Cutno, and others at receiver. When you name kids, you leave people out, which isn't fair though. Vest was huge in 2009 too at LB. The last second pass was nice in 2009. I saw 3-4 games in person each year. I agree though, when you lost the QB, timing, etc was off and it might have cost the trip to the dome. 5A is so tough!

Quote: Lots of rumors, I can assure you Dotson is a good football coach. Unrealistic expectations can cause people to sour fast. Dotson ran that program when Edwards was the head coach and on top of that Edwards is not much of a "football coach" he is just a good guy. The people in Central need to be patient, there was a reason Edwards left when he did, and you are seeing that reason right now.

I am not bashing Dotson and I am not a new "whatever you referred to me as". He is a good guy for the most part. Don't know him personally and doubt I ever will. He has had his share of off the field issues that he has had to deal with that he shouldn't have to deal with. This team is so young it is scary at times. Watching them that Zachary game was exciting and brought back memories of a few years ago when Central made it to the semis, and I was there then not to mention the quarters. As far as the kid that was born in 1993, I am not a scorned parent by far. But it appears that trust placed in some players isn't really going all that well on and off the field and I am sure he would agree to an extent. This man needs to concentrate on coaching and building a team, not have to worry about all this junk that is being brought in. I am sure that it will all come out before this year is over, but no coach should have to worry about the next slug fest, when the next prank is going to happen that hurts someone or damages innocent peoples property, or phone calls that one of his players is in trouble. This guy was paid to coach and he needs to do that. Just a note: returning players from last year on defense - 4. Everyone else is new and they have had little time at this level prior to this year. The rest of the defense is Juniors, Sophmores and an outstanding Freshman that shocked many last week. So if you think I am a dotson basher, no I am not but I don't like to hear about all the stuff that is going on. What players do unfortunately reflects on their coach, which is not fair to this man. True the play calling is questionable but who am I to question that, hey if it worked and Central scored we would have loved him for it and take him out to dinner or something. What I did see is all the finger pointing, yelling at each other on the field and justificating to the coach why players didn't or couldn't make plays, that will destroy even the best of teams. After 20 yrs of coaching I assure you I am no idiot or whatever that punk referred to me as. I have two state championship rings and one national championship ring on my fingers, how many do you have.

Ohh there are too many people to name from those teams. There were so much talent on those two squads and thats why Dotson has an uphill battle because I can only think of maybe one kid that would start on those teams

and im at SELU to and Cutno is still the loudest dude there

and its sad Wills knee is bringing him down but his brothers doing pretty good I hear as well as is Shaun Brown

We would have stomped West Monroe in the dome just like Destrahan did IMO

Dude make up your mind, what you just said Completely contradicts your previous posts

Please give me one example of this happening. Ill wait.

As if that negates the fact that you still dont know a thing about whats going on in this specific situation.

Not so fast my friend... that was all Briscoe and Mahaphee

Will used to go around throwing the ball like that all the time in practice and was alway telling Mchaphee to make it a play and finally the week of zachary he gave in and we practiced the crap out of that play

but just look at the comments, people are convinced that Will just went OH HEY LET ME THROW LIKE THIS during the play which wasnt true.

It even got on ESPN and Sportsnation ripped us for it because the final score was 58-0 even though at the time it was only 15-0 after that play

I heard conflicting things about the Zachary play, but now I really got the true story. Sid just down plays it and says everyone enjoyed it. I think Central will finish strong this year. Think Dotson is taking heat, how about Dale at Catholic? I like Dykes will be ok and hope LO can get back to 4-5 wins a year like they were a few yrs ago. Walker is getting some wins now, which is good for district...LO and Walker will be big wins for Central.

Yeah there is no way Dotson should lose his job. The only bad loss he has had this year is woodlawn and thats not looking that bad. I really think we have a good shot at Denham this year (i really hope we beat them because last year was BS and i work with a ton on denham people ) so a shot at Co district champs isnt so out of the question (even though there should be no such thing as co-district champs)

Next year will be a big year for them if they can find some DBs

I played at central during the 02, 03, 04, & 05 seasons.. Despite our records those years we had some pretty talented players- Matt Walker( Tampa bay Devil Rays) ,Joseph Ootsy, Tyler Wolfe ( Louisiville) Johdrick Morris (southern Miss and Baltimore Ravens). I had a blast all four years and I have plenty of memories to look back and smile on. Does anyone remember us and St. Amant brawling it out on the field? There must have been 30+ ejections... Also my senior year was the first time centralade
The playoffs since the early twenties, soo I like to think we set the page for the classes after us to continue and improve upon our success... FTR Sid Edwards was our running backs coach my senior year. He told us before the Dutchtown Regular season game that he thought someone was gonna win or lose on a special teams play... We lost as Dutchtown ran the kickoff back as Time Expired to go ahead.

What does that have to do with anything? National championship ring, from where? And anyway who cares what ring you have. You say you've been coaching for 20 years, then you know what coaches go through, pretty low of you to get on here and talk about a peer and fellow coach on a anonymous message board. Class act you are!
