Ford is getting Keilanded. Miles has been trying to do this for two years. He put Blue in as the 2nd RB before Ford at the start of this year and last year. Only Blue being terrible and Ford being really good got that reversed. Now we will go into Bama giving Blue 15 carries for 32 yards because Miles hates RBs who make big plays and upstage his hard nosed starters. Pets>Wins as always with Less.

I could not have said it better.Just feel sorry for Ford,Seems like a nice kid who runs with passion.
Hope Les at least allows him to transfer next year to a Div 1 team, cause i don't see any reason why his talents get wasted due to idiosyncrasies of a stubborn and eccentric coach.

IMO les was trying to showcase to recruits that you can have playing time as a freshman and gave our backup the night off

Ford is averaging 5.2 ypc against first string defenses and early in games.

Ford has gained a ton of his yards in garbage time against worn out defenses until today, and is averaging 4.5 ypc.

Both are very good backs, but Ford is more dynamic and adds a different dimension to this offense. It is why I am so shocked that Gore isn't getting touches. The guy is a true change of pace type back and isn't being used at all. If he's going to transfer (as was rumored), he'll still lose this year as far as eligibility so might as well play him more, IMO.

We'll likely never see Ford get more than 6-7 carries in a game again for the rest of his LSU career. The Les track record with backs who don't fit into his Michigan throwback stereotype is already mapped out. Sucks for us.

Ford will get his carries. You people overblow every little thing. Maybe Blue had a better week of practice or the coaches thought that his style fit this weeks gameplan better. There could be a million reasons why Ford didn't touch the ball this game, but Miles disliking him and playing so called pets is a HUGE reach. Ford has gotten the 2nd most carries behind Ware in 4 or the first 6 games. Just STOP

Les Miles might not want to advocate the pain they will bring to Bama. Its call mind fricking.

Like Sam Montgomery today, Sacks the QB gets up and celebrates with the guys then all of sudden he is hurting on the arm., like if he forgot the coach told him on the next play act like your hurting.

I know right

LSU rushed the ball 49 times and Ford was given 1 carry.

I'm sure he is excited that LSU won, but if he isnt nicked up, he gotta feel a little left out.

C'mon, already, I seriously doubt that's it.

You missed those plays last week where Ford gives it up when he's not carrying the ball? Like on two play action pass plays I (along with everyone else sitting in our media room) saw almost back to back: on both plays he just falls down in the back field after the fake hand-off, didn't stumble, was nowhere near taking a hit from a defensive player. He just gives up on the play if he's not the ball carrier.

He has had a bit of fumble trouble and I saw at least one bobble he nearly fumbled last week as well. Plus, he can't (or won't) block, for the most part, he whiffs instead.

Enough of the BS about Miles holding back players. He and the other coaches watch every millisecond of game film. If we all caught just those several plays, imagine what happens in post-game film break down.

Miles rewarded Blue with more playing time than Ford because he brings it 100% of the time, whether on special teams, running the ball or trying his damndest to pick up a blitzing lineman on a pass play.

Ford probably fumbles in practice!!

Bama is shaking in their boots over facing 15 carries of Alfred Blue.

Well, at least somebody gets it. Blue is definitely trusted by the coaching staff to pick up blitzes on play action. But I still think it has more to do with keeping one of your backs fresh for the Tennessee game. It never ceases to amaze me that our fans think miles cares more about his allegiances to certain players than he does about winning. You see examples of players getting on the field early because of their work ethic all the time.

Work ethic...... hmmmmm

Willie, you said you could not decide if Blue was a better runner than Ford or not and then you talk about other people's lack of brain power.

We will need the change of pace he brings from Ware if we are going to beat Bammer.

right here. and i think miles is kind of shuffling the rotation a little PLUS getting magee in there to keep these guys fresh. ware looked fantastic after basically taking a week off. ford has had now virtually 2 weeks off. same thing on the d line, i saw freak out there more yesterday than in the previous couple games and you've got rasco playing now. i even saw jordan allen yesterday.

that said i hope we see the return of ware/ford from the first 4 games of the year because that's as good a tandem as any and you still have the other guys to throw in there.
