TM7 - T-Rex does care. On the gameday video this morning on ESPN, TM7 said that he has always been fighting the evils of being small. TM7 said that it hurt emotionally, because even when he was better, people perceived it differently. He did elaborate on this issue. However, some fans continue to portray him as a small animal that does not care called the honey badger. TM7 is a small player in size only, but he plays with BIG passion and a flamboyant HEART!!! TM7 has to accept this name but you could tell that he is not fond of it. Erin Andrews said that TM7 is too soft spoken to be labeled this name. Some of you claim that he loves this name, that is not true. He has accepted it. Some of our fans has started this snowball effect of labeling a player where the media and fans have taken it one step further. TM7 at this point has to accept this name. The bottom line is that TM7 cares and he is soft spoken off the field, the video proves it. But while, he is on the field, he is looking for every edge. He is looking to get in the opponents ear and he does it in a flashy demonstrative way. That's TM7's edge. Hopefully he continues to be the talker on the field and that is not taken from him by the refs or the coaches. TM7 plays BIG - As TM7 once said - he is T-REX.

You'r right man, a nickname will make him not play as well because he has always been small.

You would think LSU was in the midst of a losing season with all the bitching and whining about every little thing on the rant.

A small animal that is fierce and badass far beyond it's stature.

The rant is only happy win it has something to bitch and complain about. We're playing great so they gotta find something... That must by why this dude decided to bring us the 1,264 thread about a players fricking psuedo nickname.

I disagree. I think once he realized the characteristics that are used to compare him to the honey badger, he began to like it. Aside from the resemblance due to his haircut, it's a compliment to his aggressive fearlessness on the field, and the fact that he has a way of always taking the ball away from the offense.

The fact is, he is small. The nickname reflects the fact that, while he may be a little smaller than average, he plays big enough to have "no known predators". I think it's the most perfect nickname I've ever heard.

Not to mention that the coaches picked up on it. You think they would do that if they thought it affected his play? C'mon, man.

Nick names come and go. Honey Badger is hot at the moment. I do like MAYHEM. We have assigned that NN to a few individuals who wreak havoc at work. It has widespread popularity... He could could then just be M7 instead of TM7.
