If Miles had been this forceful when announcing the reinstatement, there might have been less tension.

Unlikely. If he said anything that indicated that JJ would play at all, the same thing would have happened. The conspiratorialists would not have been satisfied short of a declaration that JJ was off the team or would not play this season. I took Miles earlier comments as an indication that
JL was and would remain the starter unless he began playing badly. I think that was the reasonable understanding.
Even the quoted statement will looked at by the anti-JJ faction as an example of MIles' looking for an excuse to bench JL for JJ.
Bottom line, the anti-JJ crowd needs to let it go. JL is our starter, as he should be. JJ will play, as the coaching staff deems appropriate. The team seems united and content with this, including Lee. Let's all get behind this team, JJ included.

He explained it perfectly fine on the show. How can Les possibly know how goddamn retarded some of the fans would act?
I make fun of the dumbass contingent all the time (yourself included) and I didn't realize so many would act so embarrassingly juvenile.

I personally think the head coach of a National Championship-contending college football team has better things to do than to make sure he words his statements EXACTLY right to keep from offending a bunch of teenage-drama-queen-acting so-called "fans."
When will you drama queens understand that:
1) Miles is going to make what personnel moves he deems best for the team and
2) He doesn't give a rat's arse how the "fans" on this board interpret his statements and he doesn't give a rat's arse what the "fans" read into his statements?

Agree with this statement 100%. Miles is at fault for never reinforcing that JLee was HIS starter. Instead he had to qualify it with "for now". This is what has caused an uproar for many fans.

are you being serious? Im not sure Miles could have been ANY more clear on who the starter was.

I thought Miles was pretty clear when asked this question.
