If the booers had half a brain, they would realize playing Jefferson means no redshirt. They should have been cheering. Next year is Mett's.

It's really the same thing if you give it any thought at all.

it's a chickenshit cop out anyway.
That is absolutely correct.

This definitely crossed my mind, Miles was solving next years JJ, JL dilemma, if you follow me.

I don't want to see more QB rotation like we did a year ago. We give ourselves away when we do.
Start Lee, play Lee. If he gets hurt or plays really poorly then we can insert the back up.

the only way a team wins a national championship is with cohesion. the fans that booed are not helping that cohesion...the booing was just dumb, dumb, dumb

NOWHERE in that article is that written at all, and quite frankly I'm getting a little sick of all the dishonesty all around with this.
People automatically saying it was booing Jefferson himself and never considering the fact that it was obviously the decision to put Jefferson in in the first place. SURE there were some who were booing Jefferson the person, but I'm not so ridiculous and ignorant of people's feelings on this to believe that the majority of fans were booing Jefferson himself rather than what they saw as a decision which slighted Lee who had brought us to this point.
HOWEVER, that is why booing has no place here, because it's too ambiguous as to what is actually being booed, and so it should clearly be stopped. In any case, I didn't like the decision, but more so, I really didn't care for the insertion of JJ into a drive and then Lee coming in to try and get a pass completed on 3rd down. My REAL issue with it is that I think it builds to CONFUSION and halts momentum.
All I can say is this. If LSU tries to use JJ as a run QB against Alabama, then it's going to fail miserably.

Trust me when I say that your nose is dysfunctional when it comes to smelling anything out. I wasn't at the game, and have NEVER BOOed anyone in over four decades as a Tiger fan. I think it appears to make people look low rent and I do NOT CONDONE IT. That being said, I believe honesty and truth has a place here, and yet it's being avoided in an over zealous attempt to condemn the actions I also agree with has no place in CFB and at LSU.
What you need is BALANCE so as to not cause your message to be watered down. People claiming that the fans were all booing Jefferson the player rather than even considering that the majority were booing the decision to put Jefferson in is what is ridiculous. Not reading all of my words on the matter and wanting to lump me in with that crowd when I have clearly said otherwise and because you don't want to look at it only further alienates fans and demonstrates this ridiculous and dishonest mindset.

If you look at the MUCH BIGGER PICTURE, I think it was a brilliant move by Miles. Obviously, the players want THEIR TEAMATE, JJ, on their team, as does the coaching staff. He was going to get in at some point and in a seemingly easy game against Kentucky was the perfect place to not only get the boo birds out of the way, but give him some meaningful snaps and put this behind the team. Can you imagine the effect it might have if we go into the Fla game with all of this uncertainty still floating about. NOW PUT YOUR TIGERS AHEAD OF YOUR PERSONAL FEELINGS AND HAVE SOME CLASS; SUPPORT YOUR TEAM LOUDLY!

Ill ask the same question I did earlier. do you think the team
1) would believe that pile of horseshite or
2) if they did believe it do you think they would care?
they're ranked #1 in the country and just got booed on their home field. it's embarrassing no matter how much you try to sugarcoat it.

I am an admitted JL supporter, but I agree with Miles' decision to get JJ some playing time ASAP.
With such a hard schedule, with many tough games left, we will need JJ at some point. It is important to get him ready to play and get him some confidence. Ask Florida what happens when you only have one QB that can actually step in and contribute.
Yesterday's cupcake game was the perfect opportunity for JJ to get the rust off, and those that booed are just idiots if they can't see that.

I for one am perfectly OK with miles letting Jefferson play. Burns the chance for a redshirt and solves this qb issue for next year.

Good points and I would agree that Miles had to put Jefferson in the game at some point. I have never been a fan of rotating QBs into the game at will no matter who it is, save maybe a Tebow who comes around every hundred years or so. I really don't like the confusion it builds and how it stops momentum at times, or rather let's say establishing momentum with a QB and a direction the team establishes on offense in the game. In any case, Miles clearly had to do it. I would have rathered seen it in the 4th quarter however, and let JJ run the offense as the 2nd string QB in a drive all himself.

I don't need nor desire your instruction in how to be a TIGERS FAN. I have never waivered in my entire life in my committment or love for my Tigers. It's insulting and if you really knew me, you would realize how silly that is.

It's pretty bad when our "fan" base makes sportscenter

Absolutely not. It's based on knowing people, and realizing that there are not that many fans who would boo a player, but rather the decision to do it at that time. The first thing that came to my mind was "WTF ARE YOU DOING LES" NOT "SCREW JJ" I just didn't appreciate the tinkering with success that I saw was coming, and I can't imagine I was alone by any stretch. YOU AND OTHERS however are dishonest by ignoring that fact and choosing to instead paint everyone who booed or was not happy about it as being against JJ. THat is what is dishonest.

The team is made up of teenagers, not grown men with life experience under their belt. They believe what others tell them, and when others tell them that they were booing Jefferson the player, THEY BELIEVE IT. Now it's us against the world. It's a cause to rally around.
What it really is is over reacting to a situation and going overboard like humans tend to do at all times, never really stopping to bring PERSPECTIVE into the equation, but always quick on the trigger.

Absolutely not. It's based on knowing people, and realizing that there are not that many fans who would boo a player, but rather the decision to do it at that time
also why did they boo in the third quarter? what intangible decision can you blame that on?
it doesn't. fricking. matter. why people booed. the number one team in the country was booed by their own fans on their home field. there aren't enough bullshite excuses in the world to excuse that or make the players feel better about busting their arse just so they can get booed on their home field.
keep telling us your opinion is fact though
