Seems to me that JJ got the boo's but they were meant for Miles' decision to put him in.

What we need is different types of booing for the jackasses that like to boo so that people can tell the difference?
Help me list the types of boos we will need:
1. The all important ref boo
2. the headcoach boo
3. assistant coach boo
a. defensive coordinator boo
(1) specific position coach boo
b. offensive coordinator boo
(1) specific position coach boo
4. player boo
a. subdivided in to one each for each different player
5. cop boo
6. drunken fan boo
7. opponent fan boo

What have I left out? Let's hear from you boo birds. Booing is your thing. It's what makes you believe that you are important so share it with us.

NO, I said that I am surely not alone in my displeasure over the decision. You are the ones who have cast everyone into one big lump, because using REASON and perspective takes a little more thought, and since emotion and passion is involved, thinking things through often goes on the back burner in lieu of over reacting to things and anger.

the number one team in the country was booed by their own fans on their home field

See, that's the kind of over generalizing silliness I was talking about. Do you really believe that the TEAM was booed? Really? Because at no point did I or I think ANYONE with a brain ever think that the TEAM was booed. See how it works? It goes from booing Jefferson to now people booed the TEAM. It's reactionary, and it's silly.

I agree with what Alan Risher said yesterday, because he has experience at it. He said, it wasn't that Lee was nervous, but rather trying way too hard to be "the man" and prove to Miles that he is the starter. Risher said don't be fooled, that there is no such thing as brotherly love between the qb's, it is every man for himself and everybody wants to be the starter.

That makes the most sense to me. It also doesn't help that Randle stopped on that one route b/c had he kept running it would have hit him in stride en route to the endzone for a beautiful pass play.

I personally think the head coach of a National Championship-contending college football team has better things to do than to make sure he words his statements EXACTLY right to keep from offending a bunch of teenage-drama-queen-acting so-called "fans."

When will you drama queens understand that:

1) Miles is going to make what personnel moves he deems best for the team and

2) He doesn't give a rat's arse how the "fans" on this board interpret his statements and he doesn't give a rat's arse what the "fans" read into his statements?

you're still guessing why people booed based on your own reaction.

why did they boo when JJ came in in the third? still struggling to come up with a line of bullshite to excuse that?

Agree with this statement 100%. Miles is at fault for never reinforcing that JLee was HIS starter. Instead he had to qualify it with "for now". This is what has caused an uproar for many fans.

Not at all. I'm just not lumping them all together assuming they all booed for the same reason. Regardless, I have said it before, and I'll say it again to be clear. BOOING anything other than the refs is low rent and comes off as trashy. It's far too ambiguous as to what you are actually showing displeasure for since the english language is not being used to be descriptive as to the intent, so people begin guessing as to the intent. I'm just not so silly as to believe there was only one intent and that was to boo Jefferson the person rather than perhaps a myriad of different intentions, not the least of which my displeasure being one of them. Most people I spoke to during the game felt the same way, even though none of them were at the game. We were all of one accord in WHY we thought it shouldn't have been done.

I didn't notice the boo birds booing JJ in the third. I just noticed it when he came out to run it in at the goal line. Maybe it was because they wanted to see Lee as the QB, maybe they didn't like the fact that JJ was coming in to take momentum away from an offense that had finally become an effecient offence since 2007? I don't know, but I do know that people often have differing reasoning, or as you said "OPINIONS" and not all are against Jefferson the person.

Everything causes an uproar from some LSU fans. Look around.
People that live to bitch will find something to get their collective painties in their cracks about.
LSU is undefeated, ranked number 1 and the life long losers around have to find something to bitch about.
Pretty sad when you think about it.
But given the mentality around here, not surprising.

You should look up the definition of perception.

Did anyone on here who are justifying the booing a 'decision' ever boo last year when JJ was pulled in favor of JL for one or two snaps? When Flynn was pulled for RP?

If not, kindly go frick yourself.

Who has justified booing a decision?

Are YOU being serious? Miles qualified his statement with "for now". That is in no way a clear statement.

Bottom line, is Jarrett Lee's parents raised a fine young man. They should be proud of his character.

what he said was

quote:

Right now, Jarrett Lee's our starting quarterback," Miles said. "And what we would want to do is obviously add to that skill set. There will be an opportunity just like a year ago when Lee played in every game (behind Jefferson).

if retards want to read into that some comdpiracy by miles or something that isn't there then that's their problem.

OK Einstein ... why was "Right now" needed in that statement? Why not "Jarrett Lee's our starting quarterback"? Do you not see how that qualifying statement leaves the door open for JJ to step back into the starters role?

Seriously? Are we trading the same thread? A number of posters justified the booing and claimed they were booing the 'decision' to play JJ not JJ himself.
