Now if the JJ apologists had their way, I'm sure they'd say "who hasn't grabbed a girl at a bar" and wanted him to hire a high priced lawyer to get him off on the charges. But he knew the mistake was his and it would be classless to make himself the victim.

Is it really that hard to buy that just maybe JJ didn't kick that guy?

eta: Don't act like Mett was a complete angel through his whole ordeal either. One of the original charges on him was providing false identification.

This incident has cut many players deep and could have a negative impact on the rest of the season thanks to a bunch of jack asses that booed

No it wont. A NC means more to those guys than the fans. GTFO with this bullshite.

So any QB at LSU that's black has to be the 2nd coming of Christ and/or 100% times better than the White back-up. Trust Me if the story was flip-Trust ME JJ scholarship would have not been renewed after the season which General Lee RS-Freshman year.

Why would we trust someone so clearly delusional? LSU's last decade has had a black quarterback more years than not. Two of the 3 non black quarterbacks have won national titles, and the third may very well be on track to. So where is all the data you have of inferior white quarterbacks starting over blacks?

JJ has represented LSU with class for years and he did make a mistake. So have several other players on this team. I find it disheartening that we would boo a player for this team

It shows a certain lack of sportsmanship/class to boo a sub/coach in the 1st quarter of a scoreless game when your team is ranked #1, undefeated this season, and 16-2 since 2010.

We have some spoiled/misguided fans who continue to think that everything spins around them rather than the team.

We waste too much time on them/their actions when we should concentrate on the 95% who act with class whether they agree with every move a successful coach makes or every action of every player on the field helping LSU to be one of the best college football teams in the nation.

Twitter is not a good thing for players to have IMO.

this...although i completely agree with the players they need to lose the twitter. the guys sitting next to us were booing JJ only because they thought it was funny. i don't get it but who cares.

Dammit this is why Jefferson shouldn't have joined the team.

Because some fans suck and have zero class?
The problem doesn't lie with JJ.
We have met the enemy...............

The logic behind booing is stupid anyway. It's inappropriate to boo a college player because he is just a kid trying his best. However, it's not inappropriate to boo a coach because he gets paid millions of dollars.

However, when the boo birds fly, there's no way to indicate WHO is being booed, and so if there's a doubt at all, then JUST DON'T DO IT!

The boobirds I was sitting next to got real quiet after #JJ9 scored that TD.

But then they started right back up again 30 seconds later.

Should have let them know they are booing teenagers playing in front of 90k people.

The team is actually quite fine. They're happy they're all back together. It's the idiotic fans that are still going on about it.
They're all butt hurt they got scolded by the team.
I wish they'get so hurt, they'd frick off and start rooting for Tulame where they'd have something to boo about.
Not much practice time and wasting their talent at LSU.

Did you not see the posts when people found out that Mett might be coming to LSU?

hire a high priced lawyer to get him off on the charges
Do you think Mett did not hire a high priced lawyer? Of course he did.

I can certainly understand the players being upset with the booing, but you really can't make the assumption every fan took part in it.

I also believe that "Tweeting" an all-out assault on the English language was a bit harsh on the players' part...

There's a difference between teenagers and adults.
Just sad when the teenagers are more mature than the fans.

It amazes me that the players are pissed about the boo. This fan base cheered them on all through the game. 99% of the time they were cheering throughout the game and they're pissed about one incident. Anger management anyone? Could it be that someone on the team keeps bringing it up?

I agree: The teens should be more refreshed than the rest of us. It's been a while since I've sat in a classroom.

But now we're off topic.....Oh, yeah(ahem).

Booing is wrong.
