A new little nugget from Michael Bienvenue last night on WBRZ....

He is now accusing some pretty high ups at LSU of getting to the girl that filed the restraining order. To the point that Herb Vincent had to release a statement on it saying that the girl came to them to tell her side of the incident. Bienvenue also alluded to more evidence coming out in the civil case and other parties being involved besides Jefferson. There's no way this guy goes after LSU for covering it up huh?
eta: And yes I know we have a game tomorrow morning I just thought it was interesting that they're starting to allude to a complete university cover up.

Why wouldn't he. It's his job to look out for his clients' interests, not LSU's. If LSU interfered in any way, then they are idiots. The players' got themselves involved in this mess, they should get themselves out of it.

Did the SID actually release a statement?
I heard rumors hear on TD.com that the girl went directly to Coach Miles but never saw this confirmed anywhere.

This is what this case was about all along. JJ doesn't have the kind of money these guys are after. They want LSU to pay. I don't think Bienvenue nor his client know what they're getting into. It's like taking on the state government over a bar fight. Good Luck with that!!

I wouldn't be surprised if some players who were there pushed her in that direction but I doubt LSU higher ups did.

Not the point at all. I just found it interesting that he's even mentioning a potential cover up. He's not filing anything until the Spring though so this thing is a loooooong way from being over.

Liz Siadous. Restraining order against Lowery.
If you've seen the video from inside Shady's, it's not hard to see why she wanted a restraining order.

Ahhh. Got it.
I'm so used to suspicions of people being pushed to testify about players in a certain way (or prosecute or not prosecute certain players) that I forgot about the whole Liz Siadous angle.

yeah, the high ups at lsu try to cover up a bar fight. makes total sense. meanwhile he's representing a choir boy with no baggage.
it's obvious, he's trying to sling mud in hopes lsu will pay money. w/o lsu or shady's being negligent in some way, he doesn't get paid. He can claim and make accusation of anything he wants, doesn't mean he has the "evidence" to back it up.

It seems unlikely that Bienvenu is claiming an LSU conspiracy and cover-up.
