No but it sure is nice to have him for certain red zone situations and a back up in case of an injury. :knockonwood:

1. Les knows what the frick he's doing, I hope
2. Lee will still be the starter
3. JJ will see snaps in certain scenarios and packages but it won't be 50/50
4. If JJ progresses and proves himself it may move to 50/50, which I don't want to see because it fricks with our flow, but whatever
5.

I also think that JJ offers a wrinkle that opposing defenses have to prepare for so it it beneficial to LSU if he can come in an perform well.

Curious what that would be.

Were you saying that the day before the fight at shadys

Yep. Saying that since 2009 watching repeated episodes of dazed and confused (JJ and Crowton)

Yes...that wrinkle worked really well for LSU the past two years. Please stop. This is the best offense we have had since 2007. There is not need for JJ ANYWHERE in it. There is a CHANCE JJ could get hurt. There is not a GOOD CHANCE. That is ridiculous to say. Besides. I know that he would not go in, but I think our O would be better with Mett in there if Lee were hurt. We finally have pro style offense with either lee or mett....please...NO MORE JJ.

if we need red zone help put ware at qb and ford at rb. there is your solution to the redzone. i dont trust jjs decision making on a short field. like it was said earlier jj can throw it deep and every now and then we catch it for a long one but that is low percentage

Dirt getting in the DB's eyes from the divots being flung up in front of the intended receiver?

And he should get some snaps in the red zone.
This is fricking stupid. Lee is playing extremely efficient, we've scored 40 points in 3 out of our first 4 games and Jefferson was absolutely awful last year. Lee is literally 1 TD away from matching Jefferson's TD total of all of last year. And don't give me that "He's a dual-threat and adds a running factor" bullshite. If he's carrying the ball that means he's taking carry's away from Ford and Ware. Our team is playing insanely good, you don't fix something that's not broken.

Reinstate? Probably according to what the Dean of Students regarding LSU Student Code of Conduct.
Start games at this point? No. Would take at least 2 to 3 weeks to get back in form since hasnt practiced since Shadys situation came up. Thats at least 50 percent of the season gone. Too late to start now. Backup if reinstated.

What's funny about JJ running is what'else is he going to do to get the defense to think? Pass? He can hand off, and that's just about it.

Jefferson could definitely be better rolling out and making a short pass than Ware. Ware hasn't played quaterback since high school. Plus, Jefferson has to get a chance at some point this year. If Jarrett Lee has improved as much as he has during the offseason with the new OC, why not think JJ has improved some as well? He will get on the field and he deserves too, even if its only in goal line situations.

WTF Cap Crunch?

What's to make me think JJ hasn't improved?

OKAY... He hasn't thrown a football in practice since he was kicked off the team maybe?

That doesn't mean he hasn't been working out on his own. And I'm not saying to put him in the game this weekend, but a few weeks from now, sure. Plus he wouldn't be playing full drives. It would only be certain formations so he wouldn't have to practice as much.

JJ put himself in this position. No one else. He didn't have to put himself at that bar. He was the "star" (???) starting QB of a top 10 team. If you're not intelligent enough to think that some drunk guy is going to challenge the big QB at a bar, then you deserve this. He still supposedly committed assault. I think LSU ought to make a statement right now and not let him come back.

JJ couldn't do anything the two previous years but hand the football off and run a little. Les Miles (I'm not an expert in football by any stretch...this is my opinion) should have worked with Lee's problems and he might be one of the better QB's in college football right now (of course COULDA,SHOULDA,WOULDA...nobody knows). The guy's definately talented. He just screwed up his first year. Les was wanting to win more than bring a young football player along. I guess you can't blame him.

Put him on special teams.....that way he can't redshirt. No way he should play, JL is doing a good job.

I don't understand why people get on here and gripe about people ranting and venting their frustrations and opinions. Isn't that what these forums are for? UNCOMMON SENSE is the best name for this dude.
