It really makes me wonder, why protect him? He's not that good of a QB. Last year when he was put on the sidelines for a few series, he pouted like a little bitch. Is that a "leader"? If the boy can't earn his standing, let him crash. The world needs ditchdiggers, too.

Maybe JJ needs it? Some people don't react well to criticism.

There are players on the team other than the receivers, but I agree with you. As for the receivers, if they have half a brain they will realize that Lee stands the best chance of helping them improve their draft status.

Direct impact on the receivers, rest is indirect, especially the D. How many receivers have been happy with JJ's passing the past two seasons? 4-0 against 3 tough opponents away from DV has bought JL support, if nothing else.

I'm not a JJ hater and would like to see him back if he can contribute positively, otherwise Miles isn't going to blow up a good thing. Just think, if RR didn't drop that on the money TD pass to start the 3rd Q Mett would have gotten significant playing time against WVU. I am not sure if JL or Mett can withstand the full on UF/Bama D assaults and remain standing for 4Q's.

JJ will get time at QB.

Agree. Might not be a bad idea close to the goal line. Option to the short side anyone???

I don't understand why some people think reinstatement is a bad idea. I don't give a shite about team chemistry in this case simply because it's the right thing to do. It's Miles responsibility to deal with the fallout. What Miles chooses to do with JJ upon return is his responsibility.

The problem is that JJ is going to come in expecting to play significantly, maybe even start. Remember those games last year where he went 4/10 and he said in post game interviews that he thought he played well? Yeah, I don't want that back on the sideline. I believe Lee's confidence that we're seeing this year is due to the fact that his starting gig is safe without JJ on the sideline.

I hope JJ is cleared of this mess. He got a raw deal, but I think it'd be in the best interest of both LSU and JJ if JJ sat out this year and transferred to another program. He could start over and have one last go at the NFL.

He can go across town ... if they'll have him.

I think you have to put this in the hands of the coaching staff and experienced team members to deal with.

I think Les quashes that before an official reinstatement announcement is even made.

I think he was just trying to appear upbeat after he'd had a string of shitty performances and was losing his confidence. because I also remember him being pretty hard on himself (and the offense as a whole) after he'd had a pretty good performance vs. UNC.

it'll all work out, trust me.

fair enough. I didn't remember that.

Plus, I've always said that with the proper coaching, JJ could be a decent WR.

If JJ's suspension is lifted, all I want to hear from JJ is "This is Lee's team, I'm just here to compete and help this team continue winning any way I'm called on to do so."

I hope JJ doesn't come in with an attitude and a chip on his shoulder like he was dealt a wrong hand and he's out to get back at everyone.
