Little Rock Fans have it the best for road SEC Games.

360 Miles or Less.... LSU, Vandy, Ole Miss, MSU, Alabama
425 Miles or Less.... Missouri and Texas A&M

Someone from Little Rock could literally make every single game if these are on the schedule, man, lucky.

As for Fayetteville this puts Arkansas 2nd closest to Dallas Talent and 3rd closest to Houston Talent of SEC Schools.

Fayetteville literally moves more south and east within the SEC conference.

Athens, GA has 5 teams under 360 Miles also so they are literally about the same.

This is a great win for Arkansas if we add another team as far north as kentucky and just as far away from the Texas talent.

It will be changed if Mizzou enters with TAMU.

Ole Miss is closer to Missouri than Arkansas (FAY) is to Texas A&M... Odd, right?

Arkansas is closer to Ole Miss, MSU and Missouri than Texas A&M.
Texas A&M isn't close to anyone but LSU.

Correct, I'm talking about the West. Fans in Little Rock of any school will have a fantastic road schedule to travel to every game in the West. Including Vanderbilt if they had to pop over for whatever reason.

It's an interesting way to look at it. You use 360 miles and 425 miles as markers, but MSU is about 90 miles from Bama and Ole Miss, less than 250 miles from Auburn and less than 300 to LSU.

1. How did you use the Markers? I'm assuming with a gmail account?

2. You must include TAMU and Mizzou for the discussion. Therefore, it changes everything puts Little Rock, possibly Ole Miss, closer to the center of the "New SEC West" than any school currently.

Ole Miss to TAMU - 566 Miles
Ole Miss to Mizzou - 477 Miles

Bama to TAMU - 630 Miles
Bama to Mizzou - 620 Miles

100% agree.

Most people have yet to realize this but we are quietly celebrating.

Add another team North of us and much farther from the Texas talent makes us giddy.

If Mizzou gets added Arkansas should be doing back flips.

It's good not to be geographical outlier. Its not as bad for A&M and Texas in talent rich states.

I like that A&M will continue and improve Louisiana recruiting. In the Big XII we didn't want any sorry recruits from Oklahoma

I have to agree with the OP. If the SEC adds Mizzou, Arkansas figures to be almost dead center in the SEC West. No school would benefit more from this expansion than Arkansas.

We have zero history with Missouri, They are 315 Miles away and much less talent than the State of Arkansas.

We are smiling.

TAMU and UCLA have always been the most underachieving programs of all time. However, what was very interesting is your AD stating you needed to play in Dallas just like Arkansas to recruit.

He stated since TCU and SMU no longer played TAMU and with the dominance of OU and upswing of OSU in the metroplex TAMU needed Dallas.

Therefore, I highly doubt we move our game out of Dallas for a long time.

Arkansas no longer playing in the SWC dried the pipelines more than people truly understand. Including myself who is older than y'all and remember the SWC as a young kid.

Kids in Dallas and Houston now will hear Arkansas on a regular basis and our Alumni chapters in Dallas and Houston are on fire.

TAMU just shifted Arkansas East now lets have Mizzou shift us south. The more I think about this the better it gets for the Hogs.

Frank Broyles (Legendary Coach and AD) said money and recruits will increase 15% if TAMU joins the conference.. I have a feeling he knows what he is talking about...

I expect to see us add another OOC game with a DFW metro team. TCU is coming up on the schedule and maybe we'll throw in an SMU.

If we could get the return games in JerryWorld, we'd still bring more fans than either one of those.

I do agree we are benefitting from the conference footprint shifting west. I'd like to see A&M go home and home, because those closer road games would mean more visiting fans and a bigger stadium sooner.

We probably get the fewest visiting fans as it currently stands.
