Ok Ricky u have got to be blind man. The offensive scheme is the same as it was last year, but they basically purged the system, to do what we do well and that is control the clock by running the ball and rely on our defense. Go back to the articles when Krags was hired and see what he says. The reason some of u think its so much different is bc we are having success with the purged play book. The plays are the exact same, just execution is a lot better.

The offense is running better than it did under JJ...So I will take JL because it is better and the team unanaminously name JL captain. Do not need locker room divide going into SEC play.

I don't really care whether or not JJ kicked anyone. The point to me is, he broke team rules and if was a true team player he would have been in his room instead of out on the town at 2 in the morning and that goes for Jones too.

If Jefferson is aquitted of all charges, he will get his spot back. Only if charges are dropped, will be the only reason IMO because Jefferson would be completely innocent and he shouldn't have to take the backseat to something he's innocent for or accused of..not his fault..point is, at the beginning of the season Jefferson was the #1 guy and i believe Miles will be sticking to that if there is an aquittal. Now if the charges are lessend to Misdemeanor battery or whatever, then Lee will remain starter.

Will you've got to be fricking kidding me.

Jefferson will not start unless lee throws multiple pick 6's in one game / kicks someone in the head/gets injured.

Lee has taken the reins. If you can't see that then there is no help for you.

I think a lot of Rant posters are getting carried away--JJ won't be ready this soon and I have contended all along, he should be #3 and earn the probable very little playing time he would receive. I am looking forward to seeing Mett get a lot of time vs. Kentucky this Saturday, if the game goes like it should. JJ would be better off transferring, even if he is cleared.

Wrong, wrong, wrong... and wrong. We have a completely different scheme this year. A lot of I-formation and a lot of PA. Last year with JJ we had a lot more pistol, read option (although not executed properly at all) and ALMOST NO PA. You also had a lot more roll outs last year too.

I think you are confusing scheme for philosophy. The offensive philosophy is the same, rely on the running game to control the clock and win with our stout defense. The sceme is different because this year we are utilizing PA more and less gimmicky bullshite that gets sniffed out.

Philosophy is the same, scheme is different. You have two complete opposite QB's in JL and JJ, of course its gonna be a different SCHEME.

I would be ok with JJ taking the snap in the Victory formation during the final 5 seconds of the BCS game (if we have at least a 10 point lead).

If jj is put back on the team he will split time with lee, which will shatter lee.
He's the starting quarterback for a national championship contender, not an emotionally fragile 12 year old girl. If he can handle 2008 and the attendant crap that went with it (including, you may remember, some truly epic meltdowns on the rant) I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be "shattered" by Jefferson taking a few snaps.
