3 low IQ'd individuals (key word here) did this.

There are many things I take issue with in your post but this most of all.

To begin I wasn't there and did not witness the attack, thus I do not posses first hand eye witness accounts.

However, if published reports in the Charleston Mail and others are accurate this was not simply a 3 person deal. The attack took place in a WVU parking lot.

WVU is responsible for security in the lot. Where were campus police? Where were Morgantown cops? Where were State police? Too busy directing traffic?

The attack took place if reports are accurate, as folks were leaving the game. Yet no one, seeing this attack, jumped in to help the victims? No one called the police, no one ran to rent a cops directing traffic to ask for help? No one. No sir, not 3 low IQ folks, ANYONE and EVERYONE who witnessed it and did nothing is also culpable.

Also if reports are to be believed how did the ambulance get there (before any security or police) to assist the victims of the attack who still had not seen nor talked to any security or police? How is that possible? What were they doing? Is it so routine at WVU football games that ambulances are required in parking lots that the cops don't even bother to check on what is going on?

Lastly you state that "this could very well have happened anywhere" WOW what a crock! If your point is that every university has drunk fans looking for a fight, sure this is true.

What is not true and I just beg you to find it somewhere that a pregnant women is attacked at a football game in a parking lot while sitting in traffic in full view of others and NO one, no cop, no bystander, no good samaritan offers assistance or calls or runs for help. No one. And the victims never received any protection from WVU, from the campus police, from the Morgantown police, State mounties no one.

It's one thing to defend your state and school but please don't come here with your head buried so far in the sand you refuse to see what happened here.

This is not simply the action of few idiots, and if you and WVU and campus police refuse to see the total and complete breakdown of security not only will it be a tragic story for the victims but also a missed opportunity to review security procedures to prevent this from happening again.

I absolutely agree with what you are saying, but I parked in the Purple Lot earlier this year for the Marshall game. It holds at maximum 25-30 vehicles, is a good walk from the stadium, and is not very well lit. If the people who were attacked stayed until the end of the game, which most LSU fans did, there is a very real possibility that while exiting the purple lot there were no cars in the close vicinity. When we left the Marshall game it was dark and there wasn't a car within 100 feet of us the entire time coming down the driveway from the lot. You can see the street here coming down from the small lot on the right.

You can say a lot of things about West Virginians, but I honestly know that no one would just sit there and watch a man and his pregnant wife be assaulted. It is much more likely that there was no one in the immediate area when the situation started and thus the delayed response.

Hoping we can get some more information soon so the truth can be known and I have been praying for the family.
