They aren't going to catch them. They had nearly 100,000 people there between the fans in the stadium, the fans outside the stadium, and just randoms. Good luck picking out a group of people.

For those that don't know, a group of LSU fans were assaulted in the purple lot as they were attempting to leave Morgantown after the game. Read if you need to catch up.

OK, this ******* ******** has really got to stop. Before anyone says anything - I know this could happen anywhere, and I know other fanbases have nutcases too. I don't give a flying **** what happens at other schools. I am talking about Morgantown, so if you are even going to MENTION something about how you were spit on at a Maryland game or whatever, just do me a favor and don't hit the post button.

If you have been to Morgantown for a game in the last couple DECADES then the odds are overwhelming that you have seen some of the ******* mouth-breathers that use football Saturdays at Mountaineer Field as an excuse to act like nutjobs. A lot of it, while embarrassing for WVU as a whole, is harmless in the end. But there are wwaayyyyy too many groups of morons that take "hostile environment" entirely too far. And now we have a group of these idiots assaulting what was apparently a family minding their own business, waiting in traffic like everyone else.

This fires me up even more because when I brought some friends (brother-in-law and his then g/f) to the ECU game a couple years ago, we damn near came to blows with a group of mouth-breathers because my friends were ECU alums. Holy **** these guys were spoiling for a fight, and they did almost everything humanly possible, for 3 quarters, to get us to throw the first punch so they would be "justified" for curb-stomping us 5 on 2 (sound familiar?). And you know what is REALLY ****** up about what happened? NO ONE in our section told these guys to back off or ease up - some (grown people, mind you) actually encouraged them. THAT HAS GOT TO STOP.

In two instances since then I have seen random WVU "fans" going overboard, and in both cases I stepped in a said something. In both cases the morons were piss drunk, which meant their normally 75-ish IQs were down around 8, but thankfully they made the right choice and backed off. And you know what? If ******** #2 hadn't backed off he probably would have beat me within an inch of my life - I am the first to admit I am not some tough guy. But our fanbase needs to grown a set of ******* balls and start saying something when the idiots go too far. That is the only way this **** will stop. We all know what a group of mouth-breathers spoiling for a fight looks like. If you see it and don't want to say something yourself, then tell security or find the nearest police officer - they are EVERYWHERE on gamedays.

And for all non-WVU fans who see this, don't take it to mean we have roaming bands of hooligans and that you need to fear for you lives when in Morgantown for a game. It truly is a very small minority that I am referring to, however even one mouth-breathing idiot looking to take a swing at a visiting fan is one too many.
