yeah, the need a lot more seats

Thought the stadium was comperable in size to Ole Miss and MSU - definitely nicer than Ole Miss. Also, the seating is real seats, not bleachers.
Parked about as close to the stadium as I do at LSU (Tower Dr) and it only cost me $30 - not $40.
From the time I got in my car after the game until I entered my room at the local Microtel was 20 minutes. I can understand some were not as fortunate with the traffic as I was (traffic there is insane on normal days, much less game day), but that was my experience.
Fans were quite friendly and accomodating (again, not like Ole Miss), and they were really going out of their way to make sure we had a good experience.

I'm really glad to hear the majority of you had a good time.

i had a great time. traffic sucked big time after the game, yall need to learn about contraflow. i was fed a venison pot roast sandwich, which was great. we spent most of our time hanging out at a big tailgate in the back of a strip mall of doctors offices, really weird, but they were good people and tons of fun.

my experience was similar...
town and country side - The country side is beautiful...if we were there about a month from now, the foliage change would have been stunning to see...the town is exactly what you would expect from a small town with a large university...I liked it...
people - 90% of the folks that I met were very friendly and just a pleasure to be around. they would strike up a conversation quickly when they saw the LSU gear and really made me feel comfortable. Many also talked about visiting LSU last year and they talked on and on about the gameday experience in BR. On the other hand, the other 10% were like high school bullies and were pretty much just looking for any excuse to pick a fight. I am fairly quiet by LSU standards, but still did get tired of having to worry about saying the wrong thing and having to fight some a-hole. I saw on several occasions, these guys getting in the faces of even 60+ year old men...unacceptable. Now, each and every time someone went over the line, a few others would come over and apologize...so the fanbase is obviously trying hard to get past that.
Gameday Experience - the gameday experience was right up there with those in the SEC...it was electric and people just came out in droves. The stadium was full from start to finish, even at the end of the game when LSU was firmly in control.
One thing that did piss me off was the cost of whiskey...I typically pay about $45 for a half of makers here...there, a half gallon cost right at $70...I see why one would be tempted to have a moonshine still...
I would say my trip was overwhelmingly positive...I would do it again tomorrow if I could....

No wy yshould be in the SEC.
-Stadium is only 63500, Tiger Stadium had that in 19 freakin' 60
-They tear ticket stubs for pete's sake
-People were nice individually, but if you boo injuries you should not even be allowed to play college football, much less the SEC. Unsportsmanlike beyond belief.
-Concessions and bathroom way under-sized, which is also true of Tiger Staduim, except that TS was built 80 years ago!
-While their team is hardnosed, of the fans I talked to, I'd say 75-80% did not know a damn thing about football, especially on a national scale
-This is a money losing proposition for any team going there.
-Parking, shuttles were ridiculously laid out. No one knew a damn thing. We had to ask 4 times about the shuttle to the Coliseum, and nobody, fans or staff knew sh-t. Finally found it on our own. Then the line (about 300 people!) had to queue up smack right down the middle of the main parking lot, so you had to dodge cars while waiting almost an hour to board a school bus! It was beyond ridiculous.

great post and positive observation ! as a kid I lived across the river from Wheeling WVa. They love their team and Tiger fans should relate to that ! They play all out just like LSU does .

West Virginia adults went out of there way to ensure we were having a blast and thanked us for making the trip. Now the students were drunk obnoxious assholes but tis expected
overall, we had a great experience.

the main reason that I think that they could fit into the SEC. They can catch up later with their facilities. If they got an invite, imagine the recruiting advantage they'd have in the Northeast.

Start giving us some of that SEC money and we'll be able to catch up.
Glad to see so many enjoyed their trip.

You would be shocked at how standard this is in all of college football. I was looking for the video, couldn't find it, but last year a guy interviewed a bunch of LSU students and fans and asked them simple questions about WVU, what conference we're in, etc. Tons of them had no clue, people tend to concern themselves with area's surrounding them.

I found WVA fans the environment awesome. Every program ha there share of jerks... Didn't here them chanting "suck that mountaineer deck" FWIW

I wanted to also thank the WVU fans for a great time.
We sat right next to the LSU band, and I thought the noise level in the stadium was very comparable to other venues in the SEC. (maybe not the Swamp or Tiger Stadium, but definitely louder than Starkville or Little Rock) Am I crazy?

could you work on adding a portable cell tower or 2

Glad you guys had good experiences.
The hassles in parking and traffic are mainly because of the layout of the campus and the fact that Morgantown has grown a pretty good bit since the stadium was built in 1980. I hope WVU goes out and buys some of the residential property near the stadium in the future to make things better.
There are a ton of cell towers in the area, the problem is the network. I hate that you can't text or call from the stadium. I guess that is something that they didn't plan for when they established a town in the mountains many years ago!
