Anyone hear anything? I read last night that the WV fans were trying to start fights all night, but that happens everywhere.

I was at the game and for the most part their fans were real nice, almost too nice...they really want in the sec so they are trying to repair their image. There were a few bad apples but we had countless people come up to us before and after the game and telling us thanks for coming etc. One group invited us to a tailgate and gave us food.

Wvu fans were the nicest I've ever encountered (both before, during, and after the game) and i've been to more than 50 away games.

Have to disagree with the other sentiments. They were awful. Very nice before hand. I just ignored the tyPical drums. Student bs. I saw some Pretty bad behavior, including thrown beer and thrown full beer cans.

I will never go there for a game again. Everyone else's mileage may vary.

No different than the hostile SEC venues. You had the select few yelling, cussing, starting shite. You had the really nice ones who made up for the d-bags. You had the few that just wouldn't believe LSU was gonna win at night in Morgantown.

I will say this - the entire section I sat in drank and drank alot. You know those people who drink for the sole purpose of getting shite-faced? That's the WVU crowd. Funny really.

I thought their fans were great. They gave me some apple moonshine and were using turkey basters to give shots of gin punch. The blue lot was better than several SEC tailgating scenes I've been to.

From my experience, wvu fans are on one end of the spectrum or the other. We got offered rides, food, beer and conversation by many. Tons of em said thanks for coming and talked about getting in the sec.

But on the other end, tons of douchebags. Guys and girls (mainly younger, probably students) would walk by and give is the bird and a "frick you." every school has those, but they seemed more abundant here

We had a great time. Fans were nice. The only thing that shocked us were the number of female fans shouting "Fu k you" and "frick Lsu". It happens mostly in the evening around the bars, but we encountered it on many occasions.

Didn't diminish our time, just caught us off-guard as we didn't expect the language from the ladies......

Overall a great trip. Their fans really support the team.

We had a good time with the WVU fans. Like most people say, the older ones were very nice and welcoming. The young "pepperoni faced" kids were what you would expect.

We made it to game day and hoisted a huge sign...

This didn't get us a beer bottle to the back of the head; however, after the game some dude tossed a full can of beer at us, but missed...so, there...

Most common phrase I heard all weekend was "Welcome to Morgantown". Second most common was "Your team is great". And that was before the game for the most part.

The only exception was walking into the stadium at the east gate. Typical student bullchit, but I considered it hostile.

We tailgated in the purple lot, and from what I could tell, it was probably a more laid back area. As far as food, they have these "Pepperoni Rolls" that taste like...bread and pepperoni. They sucked. We cooked pastalaya, jambalaya, boudin, and burgers. They ate a lot more of our food than we ate of theirs, although I did get some decent pork loin from one group. The WVU fans enjoyed Abita Beer.

The female population, at least where we were, all had one common trait. Nice arses. I didn't see any with missing teeth either. I was surprisingly impressed by the talent on hand.

The fans in the stadium were pretty laid back in our section, but let's face it...we outnumbered them where I was sitting. (Upper 202) I walked to the concession stand in the fourth (I think), and when we scored, (Ford's touchdown I think), the place emptied. As they were walking out, they all said "Your team is awesome" or something like that.

I don't think they're SEC material, but that's not based on the fanbase. That's based on the fact that they think they're Oregon and can boo injured players, even if it's offensive linemen. That's a display of ignorance. I could almost see booing the defensive players that go down with cramps, although I would hope our fanbase would never do it. But T-Bob?? Ignorant. Shows their fanbase isn't football smart enough for a move like this.

Loved it. Fans will be fans. Most part they were cool. Guy at the sports bar bought me a round and thanked us for coming. They sometimes were a little crude but nothing compared to R kansas....

Loved the stadium energy.

Would love WVA in the SEC.
