It seems like this is the only time we bring him in and everyone in the stadium knows it's going to be a run. I really don't like how theyre tagging him as this short yardage back and that's all he can do. Yeah that's what's he's good at, but when the opposition knows what you're doing as soon as he steps onthe field, it's pretty easy to just stack the box.

You sure bout that?

I agree it's the playcalling and not MI.

That stigma needs to be attached to Sean, not any one of our RB's.

I agree that the o-line needs to actually push forward and open holes for him instead of collapsing.

I'd also like to see quick pitches to Sproles to the outside, a running back screen, and quick slants to Moore or Graham on down and short.

I think it's definately the playcalling, and even more the offensive line failing miserably, more than it is Ingram. That said, any reputation, good or bad, that a rookie gets two games into his career isn't exactly fair IMO.

I like Ingram, but he needs to show more patience in his running. When it's short yardage, he needs to will himself a yard. Poor blocking doesn't stop great short yardage backs from getting the yard. Are they perfect? No, but mostly they get the yard. The bottom line is everyone knows the Saints brought Ingram in to get a yard. If we continue to flop on 3rd and short, fair or not, it will fall on Ingram's shoulders.

To be fair, Ingram gets carries on non short yardage plays as well. Additionally, there are plenty of short yardage backs that teams stack the box on short yardage. Ingram needs to figure it out and get the yard no matter. Look at Brandon Jacobs for instance. On 3rd and short, he comes in; and the entire nation knows what is coming. Most of the time, Jacobs finds a way to get the yard.

I have to disagree wholeheartedly here.

Ingram is a complete back. Burst, quickness, power, and can catch. He's not just a pound-the-line kind of guy. To say that that's the only reason they picked him up is short-sighted, and quite dumb. That's one of the things he CAN do, but it's not the only reason they brought him in. You can't get a yard when the whole defensive line and LBers are a yard or two past the LOS. It just won't happen.

3rd and 1 is 95% offensive line, 5% running back.

With the lockout, all rookies should get somewhat of a pass this year. Although I do think we will see Ingram breakout soon.

Is that why Coach Payton said after the draft, "its no secret we had trouble in short yardage last year. Mark was brought here to help in that aspect." do some research before you namecall you piece of monkey shite cocksucker. Right, ingrams such a complete back that he has the lowest YPC on the team and immediately comes in on short yardage. Don't forget the fumbles. You can't be a complete back without turning the ball over. I hope you're right but I haven't seen anything to suggest he is anything but an average short yardage back. You're just a count whose Momma didn't hold him enough as a child, therefore you have no ability to think without emotion. . I'm a Who Dat. I want him to be all pro, but I am concerned. He hasn't looked the same since the knee injury.

See how effective communication with name calling can be, prick.

We don't give a shite if you feel you need to be accepted. However, he said what you said was dumb, he didn't say you were dumb. You went off the deep end.

His response to your post was nowhere near what you came back with. You were that but hurt over something you said being called shortsighted and dumb? He didn't call you anything. You took it to another level. You called him a cocksucker and brought his mom into the conversation. I'm no angel on this board, but this was not warranted at all.
