Not really, but close enough. Killed him Sat. morning at the camp. A touch under 5', 12 Rattlers and a button. Weapon of choice was S&W .38 special +p...

Nice snake, you going to send him to the taxidermist or turn him into a belt? Did you eat any of the meat? Rattlesnake is pretty tasty.

Really? I'd have never thought to eat one.

And the skin we have of a big one one hanging on the wall at the camp looks pretty badass.

Don't know yet. He's in the freezer. Was thinking either a mount or stretching the skin out... Thoughts?

I thought you were from La?

Skin vs mount: I guess it depends on what you want to spend on it and how badly you messed up the head. A mount is going to take up a bunch of table space though.

Never seen one of those in the swamp, never really had to worry about them until I started hunting MS

It's venomous not poisonous, there's a difference

4 11" and it is taller than you.

Kiddin, nice camea shot. Could pull it off as a 6 plus foot monster.

Still a big ole snake.

Two words you will never hear me say in the same sentence.

I have never seen a rattle snake in person (not really that broken up about it either!)
