What is this infatuation with 16 team supe-rconferences? If you go to 14 you get to keep the same east-west rotations and just add a 9th conference game a year. I don't want to live in a world where LSU might play florida, georgia, or tennessee every 6 years while having to play a&m and someone like fricking mizzou every year. I want to play in the south dammit! 16=essentially two eight team conferences.

I think 16 is good if you get a good 15th and 16th team. I think adding two without getting good TV markets isn't that useful.

Scary thought - I'm not convinced it's going to stop at 16!

There aren't enough worthwhile teams to go past 16

I agree. I want us to add A&M and possibly VT/West Virginia and stop at 14. I think that improve an already great conference. I think 16 would only hurt the conference.

sixteen allows for a feasible conference relationship while preserving rivalries and an 8 game conference schedule

I hope I'm wrong - I would be happy at 14, but I sincerely believe it is going beyond that number.

14 is very possible for the SEC. It's as big as one conference can get without essentially being two "mini conferences"

unless you go the 4 division route, which I believe a 16 team conference would ultimately have to take

I don't want to be in a fricking pod system conference stuck out in no man's land with AtM, arky and Mizzou.
