Is that good enough to win championships? I don't think so. I am glad for the win, and they will win a bunch of games, but I don't think "cautious" and "conservative" is going to win the big games.

didn't catch the alabama-UT national championship game in 2009 did you? mcelroy went 6-11 for 58 yards and 0 TD's. oh but mccoy went down early in the game. fine, matt mauck was 13-22 for 124, 0 TD's and 2 INT's in 2003 vs oklahoma. thats very cautious and conservative and he still had the 2 turnovers in a win.

we do not need lee to have huge numbers to win a NC. all we need is him to keep down the turnovers and effectively move the offense.

and to whoever claimed we were a better passing offense last year, JJ had 100 yards less passing, 1 less TD, 1 more INT, 10% lower completion percentage through 3 games. all against lesser competition and in an extra half of football. also gotta mention that he had much more time to prepare as the number 1.

Off Rankings

Seems to me our production is up since being ranked in the 100s for offensive production. Completing almost 70% of passes. Ranked in top 25 for passing and total offense. Lee has outperformed my expectations so far and the handoffs don't bother me as much as the happy feet. After Claiborne's pick JL took a sack that he couldv'e stepped up and outside tackles and got rid of the ball. This could hurt us against AL if you believe they will make a living in our backfield all night but I believe our O Line will be up to the task.

And go JL!

Evidently you can't read, I am 100% sold Jack arse, what I want to understand is what I saw just as the ball was leaving his hands. The more I think about it, it may be he saw they were not on the same page just as it was leaving his hand. That makes the most sense to me.

He does it every time. I'm starting to think this is just how he throws a football. Even with no pressure, he throws it and then bails out. Really weird.

He can shoot the ball out of his arse for all I care, as long as we win.

If that's legal, I say we should try it.

I'll also add that most of JJs completions were balls that were thrown less than 3 yards beyond the line of scrimmage.

Someone asked me why LSU's starting QB played in the second half in the NWST game and why the backup started. Told him he was backwards with his assumption and then said well the second guy looks and plays more like a QB. Same guy watched the Miss State game and also brought up that the QB was handing off to the RB in the wrong holes and looked very confused. This is a guy who does not follow LSU football, but an outsider looking in.

Chicken, news flash, Lee is 110% better than what we had last year, not just an opinion but a fact. Passing yards per game 100% better. Game management 100% better than last year, running backs better than last year, what else do you need to see? By the way not a JJ hater just see it as it is.

What pisses me off are the goddam pitches. Don't pitch the ball if we're just running straight up the middle. Also had a couple of plays last night when we'd run sideways and the pitch was almost like a forward pass...it was just so awkward looking.

I was actually hoping those were forward passes by design. No fumbles, only incompletes...

It gives defenses something else to spend time on preparation. I'm sure there are more plays that Miles is keeping tucked under his belt. JJ couldn't toss the ball to the running back forwards or backwards. I don't care if JL tosses the ball between his legs or like Archie Manning behind his back, as long as we win!!!! JL is going to make money on his autobiography - "FROM CRAP TO CHAMPION IN 4 YEARS!!!!!!I'M BUYING IT!!!!

We don't. Those are off tackle plays.

I hate that Lee gives a hand signal to our backs on certain run plays that are a very easy tell to the defense that we are running the ball. Does anyone else see this?

I agree, especially when he does it on first or second down. It's a clear signal to the defense that the Tigers are going to run the ball. Lee is just designating the path based on the alignment of the defense.

I have noticed some very nice gains on some of those plays, though.

Maybe, just maybe, one of these big games, the Tigers will play-action off of that. I haven't seen it yet, though.

This has been going on for several years, maybe since Crowton got here, or, perhaps, even Miles.

I assume we will play action off this as well, and noticed that we finally started to mix up the direction of the runs.

Lee signaled left a few times, and we ran right. I'm not sure how they designate when to do that, but we were definitely doing so. Watched replay last night to confirm.
