I'm honestly scratching my head on this one....not any fighter or attack plane that i recognize, probably a pair of trainers...
Again - I wasn't there, and I can't watch the video at work.
Butch, you think they ended up going with trainers because it was the day before the 10th Anniversary of 9/11?
A T-45 looks like a stubby, single engine F-4. A T-38 looks shockingly like an F-5 (but I think those have been replaced). The other US jet trainers look like Lear Jets.
ETA: As they appear to be T-45s, I didn't do a bad job of guessing - having not seen them.

Should have rolled with F15s... there's 20+ of them sitting in New Orleans.

Best fly overs are Bombers. I forget what game it was, bama 06 or something a B-52 flew way too low and rocked the stadium, it was awesome....couldnt hear people screaming next to you.

that and it's a lot cheaper to fly a trainer....also a good way for some student pilots to get in some formation flying time...

Nope, they're T-45 trainers.
T-38's have a significantly longer fuselage profile, and you can also see that the vert stabilizer is a bit forward from the rear, unlike the 38.
They must be really skimping on us if we've gone from fighters to two measly trainers.

and it was the NWS game. Hopefully we get some F-series planes or bombers for Florida or Auburn

Its a hell of a lot cheaper and easier to get trainers out for a fly over than fighters off the line. If its a trainer out of Pensacola, one, they are cheaper to operate than an F-15 or 16, and two you can tie it into a training mission thus justifying the cost.
Only time I saw actual fighters, in person, was at Bama in 07 when they had four USAF Reserve F-16s fly over... which was awesome.

Also fighter pilots also have to get in formation time so that point is moot.

they were navy planes, the pilots were friends of my wifes friend (not sure what kind of planes, but a trainer sounds right because i was told there were "students" in each plane. not sure where they were stationed out of, but i know the planes took off from lafayette for the flyover. hope this helps some.
