You guys are aware LSU, like every other team in the SEC and beyond, are not going to play top level teams every week right? That some weeks are against lesser competition? It's still ok to come and watch the team you supposedly pull for, and enjoy watching some live football on a Saturday night. Not every game is going to be '07 Florida.

Stop being an idiot. I wasn't going to spend $500-$600 on this weekend to drive in from fricking Houston to watch a game that was going to be over at half time. It's not worth it.

It's LSU, I really don't see any reason to complain. Saying things like "good" and all that is just stupid.

This hasn't been the case since Dinardo.

Have you noticed the state of our economy? It's not cheap to go to an LSU game. I would think spending a fortune to go to a game pitting the #2 team in the country against a glorified D-II team wouldn't be a wise investement.

You're not a real fan!

Seriously though, nobody is asking you to. You live out of town.

I usually come in for all of the home games and make at least 1 or 2 away games a year, but yesterday just wasn't financially worth it.

But we should know by now that it's not about the football, it's about the party. People are quick to get to campus for 7AM to tailgate, for 12 hours, but can't be bothered to sit through a 3 hour game.

Very true. I have been saying this forever, but people have called me a social degenerate for placing the game over the all important precious tailgating...

What people don't seem to understand, and it is a simple concept really, is that the stadium may "appear" to be full to the naked eye, but it is really a case of people spreading out and taking up the empty bleacher seats, instead of jamming in like sardines. That's why there were no apparent gaps. And from where I sit, the east upper didn't look anywhere near full. Sure, all the sections had people in them, but they appeared to be spread out as well.

Yet it still took 30 minutes in line to just get on the escalators at gate 19!

I bitched last year to the AD, but they are going to get more than they can handle this year.
I would have missed the whole first quarter after standing in line 40+ minutes for Bama last year if after kick off they decided to let us go thru another gate, missed the first 7 minutes.

Maybe it was a typo. 89,000 would make more sense for how the crowd looked.

I have been going to LSU games since the mid-70s. I am certain that there were more than 79,000 there last night. And tickets were not easily found before the game. As the home opener and the only home game in September, it was more in demand than the usual rent-a-win games.
