good for them, they should be confident, they dont sound cocky at all. if a team goes into a game saying they have no chance, why even play the game?

Yeah, but obviously that guy won't be able to cover RR.

At what point did they think McNeese actually had a shot at that game last year? We won by 22 points lol.

probably when we were only up by 6 points in the 3rd quarter

I understand the need to be confident, but not to the point of saying you can cover LSU's receivers 1-on-1.

The saying "on any given Saturday" does not apply to this game.

Doesn't sound cocky at all. More like they are excited about playing LSU and trying to make history with an upset.

I didn't hear anything cocky in what the DB said. He's saying he's looking forward to the opportunity to see whether he is right in saying that he could cover these receivers. Nothing wrong with that. I like that they're looking forward to the challenge. It shows they are competitors.

I didn't see anything wrong or funny with what they said. I would have said the same thing.

Sports announcer said it was the first time the teams have played in three generations. Good lord when was the last time they played?
generally a generation is considered any where between 20 and 40 years.

i dont think the starters for NSU are going to be that bad. The reason they are not going to win is because LSU has 2nd and 3rd string players that are just as good as their starters. thats where the lower level teams run into problems.

I think it's been 70 years since the last game.

Where was the cockiness, I didn't see any. More like you're a moron.

Have not played since 1942. LSU leads the series 10-0 and has outscored NSU 417-0

Thanks. In that case using the low end number as a generation the announcer was correct.
