The Ducks’ two primary reserves from 2010, tackle Darrion Weems and guard Ramsen Golpashin, slid into the starting lineup Saturday, but each was flagged for two false-start penalties and a leg whip, for throwing their bodies at the legs of defenders in what is usually interpreted as a legal cut block, but that was viewed by the officials as an unacceptable technique.
Chop blocks are now legal in Oregon, and apparently the D had nothing to do with the loss. I guess if i was an Oregon Duck writer i would try to put some kind of positive spin on it to though...

Anybody that thinks this is a moron. Oregon lost because their opponent scored more points. That is how it works in every game I have ever watched.

cut blocks are legal. But leg whips are not. And crying is fun.

Sounds like the UGA fans after UGA 2003 Part 1.
I could go for another arse whooping of the Ducks.

Cut does not equal Chop

They had turnovers because their lineman were repeatedly beaten so bad they had to resort to tripping or clipping to stop the penetration. On special teams they were getting assaulted so fast they had to hold to avoid their returner getting destroyed (which did eventually happen).
On the turnover front, we flat out played more aggressive and took the ball away. Our players were coached to knock the ball out and we outhustled them. ran faster, reacted quicker and took every opportunity to TAKE the game away from them.
Yes...I agree it was penalties and turnovers that made the differencce.

Oregon came out of the gate playing dirty. The officials saw it and made the necessary calls. I don't see what the big deal is.

Penalties and Turnovers.
I was unaware that penalties and turnovers were part of the game.

That win this past Saturday night was about as complete a throttling as I've seen LSU put on a team.
Every possible good thing that needed to happen for LSU happened:
1. Lee playing adequate/above adequate
2. Super strong running game
3. Smothering defense
4. Our superior depth becoming a factor
A true, complete beatdown. If you're Oregon, there is no positive way to spin this. When Oregon lined up on offense, tried to play their game, and got completely shut down by our defense. When LSU's offense lined up, they played their game, and it worked.

Need to publish a list of excuses to mail out to opponents before each game. Just check the box for the excuses you would like to use.

Is that the same douchebag reporter that claimed kelly was a genius and Les was a doofus that did not know how to wear his cap correctly?

Many of their penalties were doue to the fact that they were being out played.

Quoted for complete truth. Add to that the fact the Ducks got beat by LSU's second string QB, who only found out he was starting a week before the game.
No way to spin that.

They did lose because of penalties and turnovers. We also had a lot to do with causing those penalties and turnovers.

How come credit never goes to the opposition for FORCING turnovers. the turnovers didn't come on fluke plays like if james had shredded LSU's defense for an 80 yard run yet mysteriously (or desean jacksonesque) fumble before getting into the end zone. LSU D/ST punched the ball out 3 times and simon caught a horrible pass from thomas. LSU's turnover, on the other hand, was completely unforced. just miscommunication between the center and QB.
