WVU damn near beat us at home last season
What game did you watch? WVU was NEVER in the game. The LSU defense had that team bottled up from the get-go. If LSU's offense had a pulse that game, it would have been the route on the scoreboard that it was on the field.

Send me an email to the address I gave you Saturday!
Thanks!

MSU will be going to Auburn then have a short week to prepare for us. That will help but I still think they will be tougher than WV.

MSU. Relf has improved significantly as a passer and is a load at 245. MSU plays tough and can grind it out, plus it is a short week of practice for a Thursday game.

Every year all of the Ranters go into an absolute panic before the damn Moo State game, and every year we crush the hell out of the glorified 2 star wannabees. C'mon guys, its Mississippi State!

Yep.
Neither is going to be that tough.
We steamroll both those teams.

Look who we had at OC and QB....
I'm just saying, WVU is very capable of beating us plus it's easily their national championship

Mississippi State plays Auburn this week
Yeah, AU probably will be in a very sour mood for this after squeeking by Utah St. and may put a whipping on them, but would be nice if Moo could beat them!

Miss State game tougher for sure
Posted on 9/6/11 at 10:35 am to BabyTac
I think West V is tougher due to the fact LSU owns Miss state and is actually due for a Stomping against them.
West V is a farther travel, and is after the Miss st game..

Mississippi State will not be an easy opponent to beat at their place.
WVU had trouble with Marshall last season, as well. I like that the Tigers have 10 days to prep for WVU.
I don't like that the Tigers have only 4 days to prepare for MSU. I do not believe that the players will begin to focus on MSU until after the home opener on Saturday. Miles stated as much in his presser.
I do believe that some junior staffers will be organizing info on MSU this week. Between MSU and WVU, I believe MSU to be the more dangerous opponent. They can score and they can defend. MSU was no cupcake for anyone last season, except for maybe LSU. They are a top 20 team IMHO, and they know how to play SEC football.
I hope we beat both teams convincingly.
Geaux Tigers

You seriously think that the players and Miles are only focused on Northwestern and not thinking about Miss. St.?

Mississippi State is one of my possible losses this year. Does that answer the question? Only good thing is it is thursday short week after a tough Auburn road game for them taht they must win. We have Northwestern to turn up and get timing on the passing game down.

I once hit every green on the front nine, including a par 5 in two and shot 38. Yes, I was unhappy about my putting, but I still took home the cash at the end of the day because I did enough on the back nine to make up for it.
In my original post, I stated that LSU's offense didn't even have a pulse that game, but I stand by my statement because WVU's offense was choked by LSU's defense all night. It was never a threat.
As close as the game was ON THE SCOREBOARD, I don't remember ever doubting the outcome. WVU had 177 yards total offense and only scored because of two short fields given to it by the LSU offense.
With a week and a half to REST UP (very important) and prepare, LSU will beat WVU even worse this time around.
