Why do people seem to like Lee better than Jefferson?

To be honest Jefferson wasn't a great quarterback, but people on this board love to slam him, but Lee's numbers were pretty bad on last night, and because he didn't throw an interception people want to crown him King, Can our defense win every game for us?

Lee did not have a bad game man. I personally think we have a better chance with JL than JJ. He had like 3 or 4 dropped passes also.

Go back to 2008 and you have your answer.

It is all about wanting a change when the starter sucks.

In 08 EVERYONE bitched about Lee and wanted JJ.

I'm not pleased with JJ's attitude. His negativity is very apparent. I prefer Jarrett Lee leading this team. Lee is loyal and patient and I'm sure he wasn't out after a team curfew a week before playing the #3 team in the country.

Because Lee arrived with the potential to become an elite qb.

6-7 dropped passes.

And to be honest lee haters equal Jefferson haters.

I don't care who the qb is. Last night receivers hurt us, not qb play

So, all you saw was the box score. You didn't actually watch the game where you saw balls dropped or a 40 yard completion called back for holding.

Because the team scored 40 pts, Lee's numbers do not matter. But when in consecutive weeks the team scores 27, 20, 16, 33, and 32 against Vandy, WVU, Tenn, Fla, and McNeese then there is a problem.

Other than the fact that anyone who prefers Lee is a racist (and probably voted for McCain too)?

Well it might be that JJ hasn't been able to get past his first read in three years of play. So what is left?

He can hand off. So can Lee.
He can run. Lee can't but that is what RBs are for.

Hmmm, seems to me Lee has more upside than JJ does (someone else also said this).

What I noticed right off was the lack of blank stares, and standing at the line of scrimmage in a state of confusion while the play clock ticked down to zero for a delay of game penalty.
I don't know if JJ or Crowton was to blame for this, but it didn't happen last night!

Last night all they asked Lee to do was to manage the game and not mess up. That's what he did and we put up a lot of points. Our offense did not win the game for us by any means but Lee gave the ball away fine and I saw him actually help the running backs a lot. He did exactly what was asked of him. I was in no way scared to watch him play like I've been in the past. Our offense only needs a Lee-caliber QB right now, and if he's really improving we may see some outstanding plays this year. I'm expecting some great TD passes next Sat. from him.

IMO both qbs are close to the same ability. JJ just gives us a better runner and more options. I pull for who is the QB unlike many morons on here who are always whining for the guy that's on the bench.

I like em both.
I like JJ's game management skills and his ability to get to the edge.
I like JL's arm strength, gunslinger potential, and his story of character and perserverance.
Why do i have to like one "better" ?
I like em BOTH.
