Who is the worlds greatest athlete?
Lebron's gotta be up there.
I don't know if he's world class yet but Patrick Peterson is a freakish athlete.

You described skills, not athleticism.

Prime Time.
Dual sport athletes get lots of respect from me. Just to be pro in one sport is a longshot and to be a pro in two sports without dedicating 100% of your effort to one or the other is amazing.

Kim Kardasian's step-father was at one time.

In my lifetime, I would say Danny Ainge.

The WR holders run sub 5 minute miles for 26 in a row. How many people on this site can even run 1 5 minute mile?

+1
Deion is second, and MJ is third to me. I know his stats sucked in Birmingham, but to hit even .200 at Double A is better than many college players would even do.

I'm gonna go with an ironman Triathlete.

Define "athlete."
Being really good at a sport does not make someone a great athlete.

Shaq.
He even recently had a show where he beat everyone in every sport.

SFP, I think Soph already covered it.
I really do not know if there is a good answer to this question. The theoretically best way would be to take every athlete ever at their athletic peaks and have them perform sort of a physical fitness test. This test would basically see who is the strongest, fastest, best jumper, etc. Of course, the best total combined score would be the best athlete. I would venture to guess the answer would be a decathlete or Randy Moss.

Ok then....what makes someone an "athlete"? Aside from being able to run fast, which apparently sets Bolt apart from everybody else.
