if loftin has come this far with no guarantee from the sec for entrance then he really is the dumbest man on earth. it would be one of the most monumental mistakes of all time.

No way that happens. A&M knows what the SEC's answer is going to be before they announced. It's all a formality at this point, imo.

i think it's perilously premature to announce such a move without a 14th team already being in place. from what we have seen, that university does not appear to be close to any agreement with the SEC

at worst they play the 2012 season with 12 teams, my guess is the hope was to have 14 by 2013, no big deal really. As Silve said, he could get to 16 in 15 minutes.
