...otherwise we would have to realign the divisions. I don't think the SEC would allow a situation were any rivalry week game could allow two teams to play each other back to back. In such, the next team would have to come from the east to keep the divisions balanced.

Not if the west picked up Oklahoma and Auburn and Alabama went to the east.

Then you'd have 8 teams in the east and six in the west.

So, Elcid, the East would then have 8 teamsand the West 6? If just Auburn or Bama went to the east then it would be balanced at 7. But I don't think they would allow that.

I just hope it is an east team and not Missouri.

I imagine your an aggie fan, so is it true that they would still have to play TX every year? Or are those just rumors?

If so I do feel bad for yall coming into the west and your out of conference every year would be to play TX.

there is no rule against realigning the conference.

what if oklahoma decided they wanted in (purely hypothetical)? would we keep them out because of not wanting to realign the conference?

slive will take the best option for the conference no matter where it's from.

Agreed.

It was purely hypothetical, but I would like Oklahoma in and Auburn and Alabama moved east.

To be honest, I don't like the fact we are expanding. I know the arguments, but would hate to see the product watered down. Especially if we pick up some BS teams.

You'd have to add 4 new teams on the West, to make the Alabama and Auburn move, happen.

No. We have publicly stated we want to play Texas every year on Thanksgiving and have been rumored to have made sure the SEC reserves that day for us if need be.

As it is now, it looks like Texas doesn't want to play us out of spite

WOW...they sound like some whiney little bitches....

Feel for yall, though if every year you have to play them for out of conference.

But welcome to the SEC can't wait to go to yalls stadium.

I just remember as a kid playing yall every year first game and the TV always showing and highligting the temp on the field and the heat rising from that turf. I swear it was like 115 on the field.
