For the record, the 2008* Big 12 title on the wall is not there anymore.

Unfortunately, it was indeed up there for a short time, which is very pathetic, no matter how much we got screwed that year.

oklahoma lost their bowl game vs kentucky in 1950, yet they still claim the NC. i think they voted before the bowl games back then. makes to sense to me though.

Texas should thank the Lord daily for Pete Carroll not attempting a single run play the last 4 minutes of an blown 11 pt lead 2005 BCSCG at Rose..and for the near brainfarted away 2009 Big12CG vs Neb. You are correct. The AP Poll voted before the bowl games until the 1968 season, when it changed to after the bowls.

Interestingly, Sagarin ranked the 1950 Kentucky team as its #1, so Kentucky could claim the national title for that year.

please elaborate on how you were screwed please. It's a 3 way tie. OU won the tie breaker. Kinda like last year A&M won the South with a 3 way tie. OU won the tie breaker. We watched OU/Nebraska play in the title game when we beat both of them. And it came down to rankings, so the Arkansas loss (a non-conf game) cost us a shot at the title.

Guess what? Tough shite. We all agreed to the rules. OU won the tie breaker and the Big XII. We won a share of the South. No * needed.
